Police: Israel dropped 'equivalent of 6 nuclear bombs' on Gaza

The title says the "Equivalent", so why stretch it beyond that and start talking about nuclear weapons, it is the tonnage that counts here; 20,000 tons of explosives on a 139 square mile (360 sq km) territory. that is big by all means and calculations, What they mean is, it is like dropping 6 tactical nuclear bombs of around 3 kt each on a relatively small area of land, densely populated.
It is awful and the results are the killing of mostly civilian people with no shelters and no means to hide or defend themselves, apart from some of their son's attempts to respond by home made rockets that irritate the occupiers and make them mad. Which is not even the intention, the real intention is to tell Usrael to end its occupation and blockade, since the Palestinians know that their sacrifices are aimed towards this end, and in one way or the other sometime somehow they will get their independence.

Why stop there, it is like firing THOUSANDs of tactical nuclear weapons of 10-20 tons.

sensationalist reporting.. 2000 is a massive casualty no doubt.. why not stick to that narrative.
and no, i dont hate palestinians.. I need to know them to hate or love them, right?

20 kt of explosives is about equivalent to the explosive power of the fission devices used in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The nuclear bomb "Fat Man" used on Nagasaki for example was 21 kt.

Though the casualties seem low for that kind of firepower.

Thermonuclear (fusion) devices on the other hand can produce nuclear explosions in the multiple megaton range, but thankfully these have never been used on human beings before. So we don't know the extent of the potential damage.

out of the 2000 more than 1000 were Hamas fighters so whether 6 or 60 job well done i say.
