it is expected that it will serve as LRMPA ( after conversion like ATRs conversion to MPAs but they were not LRMPAs so diff Aircraft but same root ) and follow on orders will follow soon .

This is certainly not a VIP jet, if so, in this age of financial harships, then CNS deservedly should be fired.

I suspect that we are looking for a longer term replacment for P-3C. Like we did for ATR PN will probably buy the aircraft itself then look at seperate systems integrators.

If u r talking about the ATR aircrafts that Pak is already operating in the MPA role...those are propeller driven. There was some recent news of PN looking for turbofan(like the P8) types of aircraft in the MPA role. I'm not sure if this is the first step towards that...it very well could be.

I think they are going to induct 1 plane and then integrate it with different sensors to find out the best combination, later on followups orders could be placed.

Could the Swedish Swordfish MPA (on the Global 6000 airframe) fit the requirements? If the sale is Swedish; could the deal allow the PAF to secretly squeeze in upgrades for the Erieyes to the GlobalEye standard (GaN) if the Swedes are open to the sale?

of course we will convert it to LRMPA by third party like Leonardo or RAS etc , as we did with ATRs conversion by involving RAS , Leonardo's radar n Aerodatta mission management system e.t.c .

I think you are mistaking GlobalEye with Swordfish MPA.

And if you are thinking about upgrading our Erieyes to GlobalEye we cant do that because we need a newer platform.
