Somedays ago I met with our local MPA. He was an independent in 2008's tenure but was supporting PMLN. Till 2013, they had almost direct access to CM. In this tenure, they were left stranded. Well yes they will certainly lose some of the share as right now they literally don't have an opposition in the Punjab assembly. Even 30% cut to their share means 90 seats are lost. Which takes away their power of 2/3rd majority they enjoy right now but good enough to form another government.

The hard reality is PML-N is likely to win Punjab again, the good thing is the margin will be curtailed and the next Federal government is likely to be hung government once again as PML-N will be hit badly in parts of Punjab, Sindh and KPK. I have a feeling they will still manage to secure same or higher number of seats in Balochistan because of comparatively better performance of the coalition government in Balochistan.

Let's hope that GHQ can remain even impartial by resisting Arabs and other King Makers. We all know what happened at consolidation time in 2013 when R.Os were cordened off by Jawans and magic happened.

The job of secret agencies is safeguard Pakistan interest, not poll people to find out who are they, going to vote for in the next election the fact they are warning the political party in power clearly shows secret agencies heavy involvement in this, so yes I blame them!

As i said in a previous thread, this is very much expected. Odds are not going to be in PML-N's favour this time because they have the dis-advantage of incumbency, and PTI will be a lot more organized in 2018. PTI will be fielding political heavyweights in 2018, and it seems that they have largely abandoned the policy of giving Election Tickets to political unknowns when it comes to Sindh and Punjab. The advantage of fielding political heavyweights is that they know how to run an election campaign, mobilize the votes and reduce the chances of rigging.

Second, PML-N's governance has been horrible. They have failed to achieve most of their election promises, corruption is at an all time high and mis-governance is the hall mark of PML-N tenure. Police, Education, Health or any other important civilian departments are on the verge of collapse. But most importantly, the rampant corruption that exists in Pakistan and the extreme loot mar of Sharif family will be the cause of their defeat.

Third, this survey itself is evidence of PML-N's failure. Instead of letting these Intel Agencies focus on fighting terror, they are being used for political purposes. This is why bombs like the one in Lahore happen, because institutions are being used for political purposes and not for their intended role.
