RAHIM YAR KHAN - The son of a PML-N lawmaker along with his two friends allegedly kidnapped a woman and gang raped her in a house at Zahir Pir Town.

Sofia Shahid, 40, a resident of Bhatti Colony, filed an application with the Khanpur Saddr police that Qamar Khan Rind, son of PML-N MPA Nawaz Khan Rind, entered her house along with his two unknown friends and kidnapped her at gunpoint and bundled her in their car. They took her in a building located at Kotla Meeran area near Zahir Pir and gang raped her. Later, SHO Saddr Iqbal called Qamar Khan Rind at police station and inquired about the matter without registering a case.

Later, hundreds of MPA's supporters surrounded the police station Saddr to pressurise the police not to register the case. MPA Nawaz Khan Rind said that there was no matter of rape, the woman has already filed many applications against different persons. Police neither arrested his accused nor registered a case against him.

DPO Zeeshan Asghar said that police called Qamar Khan at police for initial investigation on the application of Sofia Shahid but the case will be registered after completion of medical report. Some police sources requesting anonymity said that Qamar offered the victim Rs3 million for not filing the rape case in the presence of the DSP and SHO but the effected woman rejected the offer. However, MPA denied the allegation.

You know whl are the real assholes in this incident. Those that should be taken to the field nearby and summarily executed are the people that came to the police station to pressurize the police to not file the case. Those supporters are just as much involved as the rapists and his gang.

After them the second blame lies on those that will not only elect him but later on his son as well. They are to be blamed as well.

Tch what change. This illiterate nation has corruption and evil in its core.

I hope action is taken and I hope some semblance of action is taken but the police is heavily politicized and he will go scot free.

Lahore Trade Centers Prime Targets of Punjab Government and Terrorists: Moonis Elahi

Lahore The modern trade centers of Lahore, once the pride of the city, are now the prime targets of Punjab Government and terrorist groups. The present rulers of Punjab are ruthlessly hammering down these trade centers with no consideration for the 500,000 plus individuals facing joblessness and the loss of over 200 billion rupees of people’s hard earned money as a consequence. LDA, is now an acronym for Lahore Demolition Authority. Moonis Elahi strongly criticized the destructive policies of the Punjab Government and said that the current Punjab rulers had surpassed terrorists in their anti-people designs and moves. He said that Pakistan Muslim League had always upheld the supremacy of the law and fully respected the apex court’s decision against unauthorized constructions but the recent demolition drive was in reality a case of political victimization as the unauthorized structures of Punjab Government’s political allies were not being touched and the LDA officials had been directed to look the other way. Moonis Elahi dubbed the on-going demolition drive as a target killing of buildings belonging to the political opponents of N League.

Moonis Elahi said that the “Sharif Shahi” rule had on the one hand plundered the national resources and shifted its loot money to foreign countries in the last two decades and on the other hand was now hell bent on destroying buildings in which apart from local Pakistanis a vast majority of expatriates had also invested their hard earned money. He said that nations had always show-cased their modern buildings as symbols of progress and prosperity. He cited the recent inauguration of the world’s tallest building in Dubai as one such example. But on the contrary the Punjab Government was bringing ill repute to the nation by following an opposite course and thus pushing the people further down into poverty and deprivation, remarked Moonis Elahi.
