Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday inaugurated the 1,180 megawatt (MW) Bhikki Power Plant in Sheikhpura.

The Bhikki power plant is the first ever LNG-based power plant in the country and will for now contribute 313MW to the national grid. It was completed over a period of 18 months.

The premier was accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif and Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on his visit to Sheikhpura, where he was given a briefing regarding the power plant.

Congrats to Mr Nawaz Sharif on this achivement.
Credit is due where it is must, His stance on energy problem resolution last 4 years has been impressive. Much better then Zardari's 5 years before him

The Pending case tomorrow , is for his family's financial matter before NRO days, I hope the judges review all aspects in their decision. An unfortunate reality but it is what it is

I will see his last 4 years as positive should he be asked to step down tomorrow

Its supposed to come online by end of the year or early next year along with other power plants. If Nawaz shairf is still PM by tomorrow then expect many inaugurations till next election.
