What's new

PM meets COAS bajwa And ISI chief again today

Foreign Minister is going to Afghanistan Tomorrow so that must have come under discussion and PM's next week trip to KSA.

Something cooking or some serious problem coming ahead.?
Whatever it is. This is great news. PA and ISI are critical to Pakistan and good government means having them in confidence. It means a strong, united Pakistan. I am for a strong civilian head of government but who takes on board the views of the army and ISI. It's better for Pakistan. How well would USA function if White House was at loggerheads with Pentagon or CIA?

The number of times generals pop into the white house is pretty high as well.
This happens in the situation room to discuss any development and provide the president options and opinions.

For a country surrounded by enemies, this would be considered normal but rule fo last 10 years has really changed ppl's perspective how ideal relations between institutions etc work. This is how the mechanism works bitches.

The media goes on about the military. I am not going to say the military is some holy cow. But it is vital to Pakistan. All states that face enemies or threats have militaries that play significant role. No US government would function without working with the Pentagon. If Pentagon is against pushes hard for the left no US administration could make it do a about turn and push hard right. There is way too much institutional inertia. That is why all incoming administrations wrap their arms around the Pentagon, the Jewish lobby. This normally involves the President making loudest noise he can about his brave army/marines with a photo op of him standing next to soldiers a must followed by a speach top AIPAC about how USA has no other ally better then Israel.

And I dearly hope this governments smooth working with the military continues with the next COA. Clearly PM IK have COAS Bajwa have struck a very good working relationship. Good news for Pakistan. Now we need the media to behave like they do in USA, India etc.

I personally think that such meetings should be such a regular feature that media gets accustomed to it and it is no more a breaking news or topic of discussion for all waila journalists who are the most ignorant persons on the planet.

*The important meeting was held ahead of crucial visits of top officials to Kabul and Riyadh.*

*Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired the high-level meeting with top civil-military brass in presence.*

The Prime Minister House spokesperson said different points of agenda about the foreign minister’s upcoming one-day visit to Kabul were discussed and consensus was evolved on Pakistan’s desire for friendly relations with all the neighboring countries on equal basis.

“Stability and peace in Afghanistan is guarantor of peace in Pakistan and we are ready for cooperation in this regard,” the meeting decided.

The top forum also reviewed recent visits of ministers from China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the United States and exchanged views on ties with the countries.

POTUS gets a CIA briefing every morning...

Sultan Abdul Hamid Han ran a very powerful Intelligence Agency covering from China to the UK!!! Hence, he could delay the collapse of the Empire by 33 years to gain some crucial time to develop modern education, technological institutes, communications and transportation (railway from the Balkans to Hijaz rtc.), military/navy modernization (military industrial complex, sub-marines etc.) etc.. No wonder he was the primary target for the Zionists for he was the main hurdle against the creation of the Israelite state (=You have put a dagger into the hearts of the Muslim World - Jinnah)!!!!

One anecdote from his intelligence service activities!!! The British and Aztec archeologists suddenly got very interested in Mesopotamia (modern Irak) in the late 1800s!!! So, they started lots of digging!!! The Sultan put intelligence officers disguised as their day laborers!!! It was basically imperialist secret ops to find and map out oil fields!!! Needless to say, copies of their oil field maps also ended up regularly at the Sultan's desks free of cost....
