Bhai.
Iam guilty of not having read your whole post. The main problem facing PTI is that this is the pool of workers they have to work with. You can not do as a democratic set-up what a revolutionary set up would do. The courts are trying everyone is trying lets sit back and see what happens. This lot may still be finding their feet but are at least not corrupt. The mafias are after them and the country is in a bad shape but can they run away from it all?
The media is hyper critical and impatient just like the masses. Did they expect manna to descend from heaven and oil to sprout out of every well? Setting up processes takes time. The only mistake they made was to think they could change things in 100 days. I see them struggling for upto 3 years before the finances start improving and 5 yrs before the country stabilizes financially. What we are talking here is a paradigm shift and these things take time. Asad Omer is not the problem what he inherited is. If you get rid of him who is next?
A
in my opinion he has done a remarkable job....
i wasnt expecting reforms to move at this pace...
for any person knowing the basic would realize thats things are actually moving faster than expected ...
But so far he has political support..
he will have problems once he loses that support ...
lets see how the tax reforms and importantly state enterprises do...
The only problem is that Pakistani people have short memory..
my fear is that even if he stablizes the govt and get things in order next zardari or sharif will screw things again...
After all this isnt the first time when debt doubled and we went on brink of default ..its an exact repeat of what happened in 1998...
paris club re negotiations, IMF, USA aid and debt writing off in 2000s was the reason for debt to gdp ratio dropping from 85% in 1998 to 54% in 2008 than Sharif happened and we are back to 74% with projected hitting 80 again
@araz
If situation persists or gets worse.
PTI won't be in power in 3 years.
Public was in much better situation under PML-N rule. They managed administration pretty well and did'nt allow hikes.
Well if one person becomes an alcoholic and starts drinking and putting everything on line of credit he is in good shape till credit runs out..thats what PMLN did...people who know the basics understand it but people of Pakistan won't ...
So i expect sustainable growth in last 2 years of PTI but i also expect zardari and sharif to be back to screw Pakistan again as punjab hasnt given up on sharifs yet and sindh ofcourse belongs to Bhutto
