PM Imran 'optimistic' govt may not need IMF bailout

.
This is stupidity. PTI has no clear policy towards anything. Why keeping such important matters in limbo ??

Economy is no joke.

That’s a very childish statement.

Think of it like a match, when there is a 50% chance of winning, you don’t give up, you have to try until the last ball.
Another example, you don’t remove someone from a life support when he has 50% chance of survival because there is still a hope. And that what IK is saying...that hopefully we don’t have to go to IMF but if we do, we have already done the ground work.

IMHO, It’s a great idea to negotiate the term and conditions with IMF while trying to get the money from friendly countries.

What part of that do you not understand? It is as clear as it can get.

Riyasat will survive, we need a financial support to bring our economy back on track, and we will get the money.

IK and his team trying their best to get the money from friendly countries without compromising our foreign policy and national security.

Another u-turn! I guess we'll see how the markets react to this tomorrow.

This is call life .....think of it as a stock market. If we take your definition of “u-turn” then broker makes 100s of “u-turn” everyday. Why? Because market fluctuates and he has to make decisions based on market condition to maximize his profits and minimize his losses.
If didn’t understand the the above examples, think of it like a rush hour traffic. If you understand that you will know what “u-turn” means.

They approached IMF to show China they have a better option, so they can negotiate better terms with the Chinese.

How can you even compare dumbest PM ever khan saanp(snake) with a great victor Sultan Mehmet?

Look, unlike me and you this guy once was darling of the west. He was the toast of any elite, posh parties in 1990s London. He swooned and cavorted with daughters of billionaires. He could have continued live life of untrammeled debauchery and enjoy the western dream. But this guy gave all that up and went back to Pakistan. He build two hospitals for the poor by his shear determination. That already is more then 99.9% of what Pakistani's have done for their country. Unlike Nawaz and the other political elite he moved to Pakistan whereas as rest sent their loot to the west. Then 22 years of screaming in the heat and dust of Pakistan. I could certainly not do that. He certainly is not doing this for fame or money. That is much to respect !

All of that may be well and good, but all it amounts to is a good CV that led to his present appointment as PM of Pakistan. Now he cannot live by past glories alone. He must begin to deliver all (or even a fraction thereof) that he promised the nation during his election campaign. Even allowing for campaign rhetoric, he must solve serious problems within a relatively short period of time. He cannot escape this responsibility.

You may think I am fawning but PM IK even at his worse will do better then Nawaz. And yes that is because NS standard is so low. So I expect even if this 5 years are failure we will have done better then another 5 years of Nawaz. That is success in itself. Personally I am hoping that he [in order] improves the literacy, health and the living standards of the poorest 25%. If he can do that to me that will be success.

Even a donkey can do better than Nawaz and Zardari because their priorities were different, they were working on just staying is power by hook or by crook, to consolidate their powers any means possible....they had no time left for these minor things.

He has asked for 6 months: "He went on to say that after taking tough decisions in the first six months of his government’s tenure, the masses would be given relief which would usher in a new era in the country’s history."

Well, no offences meant. But here it sounds like the other way around.

The head doesn't know that there is a beard down under. LOL :lol::lol:

Perhaps you missed this part?

The best way forward now is to give him the time to deliver what he has promised, or even a tiny fraction of it. He has asked for six months to provide relief from the harsh measures that are coming. Let us see how harsh they are and how much relief and when is provided. Reality, not claims.

Such due diligence on part of any lender to assess all the liabilities of the debtor is only to be expected.

Totally expected. Will be difficult to swallow of nouveau patriots though.
