PM Imran Khan says Pakistan won’t let anyone attack Saudi Arabia

Of course not as Pakistan has been closely aligned to KSA since its inception. Has its largest diaspora in the world located in KSA, a diaspora that sends billions of remittances back home which are crucial for the struggling Pakistani economy, KSA being home to Madinah and Makkah (the two most holy sites for 200 million Pakistani Muslims), has geostrategic importance for Pakistan, serves or can serve as the gate to the Arab world (500 million) people, Africa and Europe, cultural and linguistic connections as well as ancient ones (Dilmun, Magan and Sumer civilizations).

The alternative is for the archenemy India to replace Pakistan in terms of security, anti-terror and military. That would be an own goal that Pakistan cannot afford to make when it already has hostile entities around it (Afghanistan and India).

If this relationship did not benefit any of those two countries it would long ago have been abolished, irrespective of the issues that I raised above.

KSA and Iran (wider picture) have a lot in common as well (being neighbors for one) yet that has no meaning when geopolitics always take the center stage.

Lastly, I doubt that any entity is foolish enough to attack KSA.

Anyway the Houthis have attacked KSA plenty of times in the past 3.5 years. I did not see Pakistan anywhere. Just talk (for the time being).

there are many issues sir
1- paksitani shia solders will think gov using them for shia sunni wars and this can damage army's unity
2 - solders are motivated to defend motherland not to be rented
3 - pkistan must stay away from regional and international war theater as much as possible
4- saudi and iran issues are unsolvable we will be damaged as much as we involve
5 - we should have some dignity and honor if any left
Knowing the many Shia soldiers huzoor, most of them will put Pakistan first and any deal will have their input. Religious dissent is being snuffed out of the military fast.

2-what do you do with 500000 soldiers who are defending against no millions since the millions know its going to be a state ending bloodbath for both. They are focusing on economics and proxy wars- we should too.

3. Opposite, get funded to be involved as much as possible but pick sides very carefully - preferably sides that pay and have military capabilities of their own.

4- agreed, which means a perpetual fund.

5- only good for excuses for Pakistani men to kill their women.

Who is attacking Saudis anyway?

Leaders make all sorts of rhetorical statements. Usually its a statement of policy, not necessarily of an immediate action.

If you recall Pakistan Army was already deployed in Saudi Arabia a couple of years ago for attacks from Yemen. News / Statements from ISPR during those times made clear that the troops would remain within Saudi Arabia and not venture into Yemen.

Why is Imran Khan your god now???

What kind of talk is this?

Lets face it our options are limited in terms of who we can have and who we can't

Solomon wants stooges aka 'jumhoor pasand' blood suckers like ganja and ten %. in office in Pakistan. Do you appreciate his sentiments?

DUBAI: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said Pakistan won’t allow anyone to attack Saudi Arabia, adding that the country will always stand with the Kingdom, he made this comments on Wednesday during his first interview to international media after assuming the office.

When asked who is Imran Khan? He replied, Imran was an ordinary man who had big dreams, which he achieved through struggle, adding; “Each time there was a setback in my life and I learnt from my bad time because failure is the best teacher."

Responding to a question he said: "Having seen my mother’s pain, I decided to build a cancer hospital, after achieving the first dream then I decided to change Pakistan. He added that his government will change the way Pakistan has been governed, adding they will change the mindset of the people of the country.

He also revealed why he chose Saudi Arabia as first destination in the foreign trip, saying: "I didn’t have to go outside of Pakistan for first three months because of diverse crises. But I am visiting Saudi Arabia because I was kindly invited by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and as a Muslim I should visit Makkah and Madina," adding whenever a leader wins an election in Pakistan, the first visit is always to Saudi Arabia. He said that Saudi Arabia has a special place in the hearts of all Muslims.

In reply to a question about Saudi Arabia's role in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, Prime Minister, said that CPEC is one of the greatest opportunities which allows people to invest in Pakistan. CPEC connects Pakistan from sea right up to China and all along the way there will be industrial zones which will be great opportunity for the people to invest.

He further said that once peace comes in Afghanistan then the same road will connect Pakistan to Central Asia, adding this whole area is where the future is, he also hoped for the improvement in Pak-India relation.

Highlighting the sacrifices of Pakistan and its people in war on terror, Imran Khan said the country has suffered for the last 15 years because of the war on terror, resulting the death of 88,000 Pakistanis, while the loss to the economy has been over $100 billion.

Sharing his views on Saudi-Yemen relations, Imran khan said that Pakistan would like its role as reconciliator to bring Muslim world together. In Yemen is also, "if we are required, we will play positive role there also to end the conflict," he added.

Expressing his desire for peace in the Middle East and strengthening ties among Muslim countries, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan would like to play its role as reconciliator to bring Muslim world together. "This would be our main effort. I would like to ensure peace in the Middle East because it is very distressing for Muslims to see conflict among Muslim nations. If you look at the Muslim world... in Libya, in Somalia, Syria, Afghanistan." he added.
This is not good message for Turkey. IK need to avoid such type of emotional statement.

I have to agree with @Oscar and disagree with @Imran Khan. This must be seen as a job opportunity. The bamman and banya's core competence is writing code, the martial race Pushtoon and Punjabis is fighting. If Gangadesh can earn dollars by renting out its code coolies, why cant Pakistan by renting out its soldiers?

And as Oscar sb says, it has its nuke to keep Gangadeshi mischief makers out.

Regards

Instead of KSA we should defend the Muslims of Syria, Palestine, Kashmir, Burma etc
