KARACHI: A protest strike is called in Karachi 'even when a fly dies', Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif remarked Friday, asking Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ibad to try to reduce the number of such strikes.

"Mr Governor, please listen to this carefully. Even if a fly dies in Karachi, a protest or a strike is called. Mr Governor, you should take notice of this and make arrangements (for this to end)," said the prime minister speaking at an event by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) in Karachi.

He said that frequent strikes in Karachi should end because they affect the economy.

"Strikes affect the economy. If they end, the cuntry's economy will prosper. It will benefit the people of Karachi, the people of Pakistan," he said, special calling out to the Sindh governor.

Speaking about the power crisis, he vowed that there would be no energy shortage in Pakistan by the end of 2017.

"Our objective is not just ending shortage of electricity but also making it more affordable," he said.

He said that in the next 10 to 20 years, Gwadar would be transformed into a world-class free port like those of other developed countries.

He said that the country was on the path of economic recovery evident from the prevailing inflation rate which he said is currently at its lowest.

I think the point he's trying to make is stop with the Fu<king strikes.

No one gives a shit some MQM worker died or ANP or PLMN or PPP. Why should an entire city be shut down because some worker died?

Let ALLAH handle the judgement, I'll say my short dua that every Muslim should say, and let the family mourn, because the fact of the matter is, no one cares.

Extra-Judicial Killings In Custody: PM’s Remarks Evokes Anxiety Among Victims’ Families: Dr Farooq Sattar

Posted on: 6/12/2015
The Member of Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement Dr Farooq Sattar has said that during the function of 37th Day of Inception of APMSO, in a media briefing of Apex Committee meeting, an impression is given that the political and religious parties use Zakat and hides collection funds in illegal activities.
Talking to the media persons at a press conference in Khursheed Begum Secretariat, Dr Farooq Sattar said that if such allegations were posted on MQM, then it should strongly be condemned. Members of Coordination Committee Abdul Haseeb, Aslam Afridi, Arif Khan Advocate and Shabbir Qaimkhani were also present on the occasion.
The MQM leader said that sooner the report was on air, a media trail was started on the private TV channels and once again the baseless propagandas carried out against the party. He said that the allegations had not any nomination but said that Zakat and alms were collected forcefully by a specific political party.
He appealed to the media outlet owners that the report also contained some other issues but the media persons only focused on Zakat and hides collections. He said that such propagandas could harm the reputation of MQM and KKF and also rejected decades of social services by both the organizations. He said that MQM and KKF only followed the philosophy of its Chief Mr. Altaf Hussain to serve the humanity.
Dr Farooq said that Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation had become second biggest humanitarian organization after Edhi Foundation in the city though it did not have the facilities like 1122 had in Punjab. He said that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s remark regarding extra-judicial killings of MQM innocent workers in custody was ridiculous and demanded to apologize the bereaved families of the victims.

Actually majority of Sindhis are A-holes, corrupt, robbers and traitors. why Karachi is still part of Sindh.

Generalization and stereotyping of an entire ethnicity is severely unfair. They look for their benefit and for a Government that favors them above others, just the same as everybody else. Generally, they are brought up in a system of injustice and bureaucracy. Quota system was introduced to facilitate them rather then to force the rural population to rise up to the challenge and to force their local government to introduce equal education facilities and opportunities.

The result is that the entire bureaucratic system is based on injustice, bribery and facilitation for the feudal lords and land lords. Everything is a result of circumstances. You change the circumstances today and in 5-10 years the same system would become productive and efficient. But for that to happen, one has to change the leadership and Government.

Basically, we need a revolution, a silent one is preferred where the military systematically cleans up the entire system.

Few races have history of defeats and betrayals, They born so the world can see how worst a race can be, Their is nothing unfair in highlighting sub-humans on earth and get know that how far we have progressed and if had not proceeded this far then how worst we would have been today. They don't look for benefits but to loot and get money without doing any work. They claim everything while in real they don't deserve it. They were always crushed by their neighboring empires and yet they dance like they are really tough, In fact they are the most corrupt ones. If someone that deserves holocaust then they would have been sindhis not civilized jews. Here problem lies with ethnicity and their corrupted, drugged blood not with system. even best of the best economies will fall even people like sindhus will become part of them. corruption is so much mixed with their DNA that only this race annihilation will change it otherwise they are here to loot and destroy others. I respect those states which have destroyed sindh every time they pose threat in the region.

dude...wtf?

dude...wtf?
Today whatever worst happening to Karachi, Sindhus and their hostility towards us is responsible for that. so i just can't stay quiet anymore, Its time to speak what is reality and show them what they are.

Sindhis themselves are oppressed by their own, the biggest enemy of a Sindhi is a Sindhi (usually a feudal).

And guess what altaf hole called for another strike tomorrow against budget.

dam idiot statement
its clearly shows that ganjas are afraid of mqm

Its a face saving excuse, when you go against feudal they stand against you as feudalism is their culture. what a non-realistic excuse.

Agree with you there...feudalism has turned into an integral part of their culture and the once ignorant are now sometimes willfully ignorant. However the quite a few of them are the most loyal, generous and open people I believe...because remember it were these folks who accommodated the Urdu-Speaking people when people in Punjab were holding signs of "Pakistan is that way" on the train-stations.

The politics of the urdu-speaking community has also played a major part in the contemporary schism between the two communities.

In the end I am of the opinion that given proper education and honorable conduct on both sides will lead to an excellent community.

Huh, when urdu speaking had migrated to Pakistan at then sindhus have no control over Karachi and they were simply not interested in it. not just that just in few years sindhus have started political activities against muhajir and as years passed they increased the killing rates here in Karachi and looted our wealth and rights. They were never a friendly or so rational community ,I prefer a separate province then living with these corrupt drug addicts and trust me no one should try to stop us.
