Please pray for my father

.
Lost my mother recently, so I understand the pain (it wasn't cancer). Having said that, I've also witnessed the cancer pain of very close and dear ones to me, so I can also sympathize with @MastanKhan, and I'm sure, whatever he said, he meant nothing but good from it.

May Allah grant your father health and fast recovery - strength and patience to you and family. Furthermore, my personal advice at this time, be strong and don't let ANYONE see ONE worry on your face, these are the times when you become a man from being a boy, and trust you me, everything else, up until this point in time, which you thought was an exam, was in-fact nothing.

I respect your opinion but I think you lost your father too early and it's been another century of life you have enjoyed after him so it doesn't hurt you as much as compared to those who are still blessed with the shadow/benevolence of their parents. I know it really hurts when you are at such condition and once the person is passed away, after a while, Allah bestows mankind with the best of his gifts called "Patience".

But see your opinion a part, I could let my life slip away and may write a WILL before reaching to such stage for letting me off the hook before I become a pain for my children but see my Father is not facing any severe pain a part from minor complaints about pain in his feet sometimes. He has never given us trouble in our life and is the most gentleman I have seen or met in life regardless of his beloved relationship with me. We just have no guts to face severe condition of him, we can't even imagine living without him but if such stage ever comes, it is the will of Allah and I know he will bestow us with the best of his gifts "patience".

But for the last breath I am alive, I can do nothing but pray for the longer life of my father who has been so dear and kind to me for the whole of my life and I have never had an opportunity to pay back little to him for whatever he did for me in my entire life. It's more painful as I have not been able to pay back him the love he truly deserved and even now when he is admitted in the hospital, I could not be with him due to complicated circumstances. I was in Pakistan couple of days ago but I have recently had 4 trips to Pakistan since past 2 and half years and it is heart wrenching to see I couldn't be with him when he needed me the most.

Life and death is the will of God and everybody has to go one day but as I said, it is hard to imagine a house without him and I know one of us might just die regretting for the whole of his life.

Hi,

First of all my apologies---.

The way you wrote your post---it seemed like he was in terminal condition---.

Whatever. We are not interested in knowing what you did to your father. He simply asked to make dua for his father and was not asking for your expert opinion on this.

Hi,

He is in terminal condition since many years. But thankfully he is not suffering from pain or anything. If I tell you the truth, we went through every way possible when we discovered his cancer back in 2012. I had created a thread on PDF asking everybody to pray and some of the doctors were saying he would not last for more than 2 weeks. Several members on PDF helped me contact with doctors in India and China. We also met the best doctors available in Pakistan (2 out of 4 doctors who had done Liver Transplantation in Pakistan) and some doctors who came from India and regularly do liver transplantation in India (Dr A.S. Soin from Medanta) as well as some doctors in UK.

The bottom line is, all the doctors declared him incurable as the tumour on his liver had eaten his entire liver. I remember there was another person from our area who was suffering from similar condition and went on to see the doctor on the same day and his medical condition was comparatively better than my father but God willing, his third death anniversary is soon approaching.

After exploring all the options and the entire family in the state of shock and shamble, I saw a dream where somebody is saying, You have tried everywhere, now you are planning to go Al-Shifa hospital but they will also have no answer to his medical condition so why don't you come to me who only has the treatment of your father. There was a very clear sign of asking me to send him to Umrah. I was quite shocked that how would my dad even go to perform Umrah when he was so weak back in 2012. So we sent almost entire family to perform Umrah, he was bleeding from mouth those days and couldn't walk properly. We even have a video of him when he fell at Masjid-ul-Haram and so much blood came out of his body. So after he came back from Umrah, we all were quite surprised to see he had stopped bleeding from mouth. We stopped doing further tests as the doctors had already declared him incurable but continued to take medications from one of the better doctors in Lahore. Later 3 years passed and from weakness he had gained strength and was able to walk on his feet again.

We just remained quite until now when the condition is seriously getting deteriorated once again and with every passing day it feels like we are going to lose him. May that day never happens anytime soon

Aameen

Now he is so weak that the doctor in Lahore (Dr Aftab Mohsin) states that he is suffering from the coma of liver (I believe he meant Hepatic Encephalopathy). He is taking medication for that and does come to his senses again n again but it is a battle of regaining energy and losing again on daily basis and being his children we are trying our level best to not lose hope despite all that and still figuring out if there has been new invention or anything that could prolong his life span without putting him under pain.
