What's new

PLA confirmation: DF-41 is MIRVed (up to 10).

What's the point of a nuclear deterrent, if you can't actually use it to defend yourself?

See when the USA sent an Aircraft carrier against India in the 1970's.

What if they do it again today? The world changes all the time, anything could happen.

And since India does not have ICBM, you can't actually retaliate against them. Doesn't matter what they do, you can't respond.

Isn't that a bad situation? Or do you trust them so much that you are 100% sure they will never send an Aircraft carrier against you ever again?

Well you do have a point

China already had nukes when we sent 2 carriers between China and Taiwan in 95. You didn't do anything after that. Not sure what you can do. Nuke the U.S. for sending carriers? Perhaps China could do it again. Shrugs.

Nobody should be worry about any weapon test we conduct. absolutely none.

You mean how we took the Scarborough shoal from the Philippines in 2012, and America failed their own "mutual defence treaty" because they didn't want to get involved? :P

No, back then we did not have the capability.

But America did have the capability to live up to their mutual defence treaty with the Philippines.

America also does have the capability to fight Russia in Ukraine.

You have the capability, yet you still abandoned your allies when they needed you the most. :P

You have the capability to nuke the U.S. as well as our carriers that were next door to China even in 95. Hell you even have the capability to nuke the U.S. now even after U.S. sent recon planes and China still complains about it. Hell you could have protected North Korea when it lost ships to South Korea and Japan and Australia in the past. :o:

US dare not even dare to bomb a single piece of Chiese territories. Does it matter?

LOL North Korea is as much a problem for us, as it is for everyone else. Plus as you can see, they handled it themselves easily.

But America likes the Philippines, it promised to protect them when it signed a mutual defence treaty with them.

But still they lost territory. And America refused to help, despite the strongest promise in diplomatic relations, a mutual defence treaty.

North Korea is an ally and you treat it like its a problem for you. Hmm...

Precisely, scarborough shoal which filippino brag belongs to them is effectively in Chinese hands and where is the yankee sending warship to support Pinoy? You american are scared? So much of your bragging. Empty vessel.

Indeed, so it doesn't matter if we have carriers nearby, China won't dare to nuke the U.S.. So the original poster about have ICBMs doesn't do anything with carriers nearby.

In the 90s, our offensive nuke is limited and the possibility of causing a devastated blow to the US is extremely limited. Beside, Taiwan back down so there is no need to raise tension. We already declare and set the red line as far as the reason to attack. The ball is not in our court. In fact, the ball is in your court.

For North Korea, it is a sovereign nation. We have no obligation to put all money and blood to die for that country. Anything we do with North Korea is purely strategic and neighborly business.
