My observation about the Filipinos in the west is that the Filipino people, with the right environment and conditions, will study, work hard and become affluent and successful, so I see potentials in the Filipino people with that kind of observations. What was wrong in saying that? I don’t know why you took issue with it. My comment about them being more rich than Chinese or Korean, I even provided a chart attesting to it. Don’t know why you seem to be so upset.

Another side comment, my own personal observation of the Chinese members on PDF is this: a handful of members are smart and intelligent, but the majority I see are attention seekers, always like to brag and fish for compliments from people, get envious and upset when someone else get compliments (like your reaction when I complimented the Filipinos), disrespectful and like to look down and disparage some other ethnicities (like that maid export comment), even in a very racist manner (I always hear name-calling like monkey, chimps), always insist that they are right and never admit to wrong doings...

Is this the symptoms of the infamous Chinese one child “little emperor” issue that I keep reading about? hmm I think I might have figured out the anti-social behaiviour of a lot of you here. I think that is it, people like you are actually not keyboard warriors, but actually are mere spoiled “little emperors” with no social skills, displaying your mentality here.

Anyway, I want this thread to go back on topic and hear more from South East Asian members, or the more respectful East Asians, not from the little emperors...

Many companies in the service sector are actually targeting corporations. They are needed to improve the human and technology part of manufacturing sectors.

As I see in Indonesia, many service sector company from abroad has come to Indonesia setting up their company here. So I urge Indonesians to fight them. Many people not understand the importance of having both knowledge and braveness.

I will share my own experience here, there is Indian (woman) Phd in statistic that set up a market research company in Indonesia with only have about 5 people working for her, other jobs like data collections will use freelancers.

She can get huge project in here.

It just i kinda someone who put industrialization and The growth of manufacturing output along with improvement in infrastructure is a key word for further prosperity. Service sector without to be backing up by robust Industry and manufacturing output will only made your country much more depends on importing goods from overseas. Literally they will made you depends on import everything to backing up you service industry, starting from electronic components to processing foods. I don't wanna to see my country fall and trapped into middle income traps.

It is because in the West, the Filipinos there have the chance to choose their destiny as there are many doors open for opportunities; this is not possible here in the Philippines as of now as the only most common opportunities open here are the BPO and OFW.

Having less opportunities here in the Philippines is the primary reason why many became overseas workers or simply immigrate to other countries.

In this coming century, there will be rise of Philippine and Indonesia. Combined they are reaching near 400 million; 250 million Indonesian and 105 million Philippine.

I been to Philippine many times, to Jakarta two times. Potential is high.
