I was just playing around
Free Kashmir, we Kashmiri sell water and electricity to both nations , free trade agreements with both nations , visa free travel, heck could establish first shenghen zone in subcontinent actually Asia and pave way for complete indo pak merger, give us kashmiri our own strong police forces and paramilitary and you have a strong resource rich independent nation.
Musharaff wanted this but the Indians didn't accept it.
I personally have a feeling that war will come , and it will be bloody the chances for peace are gone
We all know the outcome of the situation
Sir respectfully,I don't know about the bits of Kashmir that you occupy, but J&K is an Indian state. We do not have walls or mine fields or barbed razor wire or electric fences on state borders here.
How are we to ensure that Kashmiris (yours) stay in Kashmir. The valley specifically. Ladakh and Jammu surely don't want them either. So are we going to wall off the valley? When the attempt from the start is to mainstream them?
Cheers, Doc
Hey personally I don't like the man, shouldn't have let the Indians fenced the loc and should have pushed forward more from Kargil, ( sorry I'm a kashmiri nationalist, what else do you expect from a kashmiri)Musharraf also wanted both our nations to vacate forward posts during winter and Kargil happened
Sir respectfully,
We are not talking about the current Kashmir ie Pakistan occupied and Indian occupied , call them whatever you want.
We in this thread were talking about hypothetical scenario with roses and rainbows on both sides, peace agreement and Kashmir made into a free trade zone for both sides , no fencing etc and peace and prosperity in the sub continent after centuries of occupation and warfare ,
However if you still want to keep up your fences fine
Kudos
My South Asian brother,Buddy I'm just discussing the topic.
I have no illusions about roses or rainbows.
It is too late now. The sleeping Hindu has awoken.
Cheers, Doc

Yet I still find subcontinental politics even in history rather hilarious,
Hopefully peace prevails one day but I doubt it
Bro I get what you mean , that's for current security situation, in the case of a cease fire and truce , kashmiri would = kashmiri, kashmiri can travel to India and pak freely, Indian cannot travel to pak freely pak cannot travel to India freely, that was what was announced,
Obviously when both sides in good faith declare cease fire and importantly truce, distrust would end and leave will begin and rise of a subcontinental economic bloc of 2 nuclear nations with large industries,
Yet if only the Indians agreed to this, why does India even cling on to Kashmir? It seems insignificant considering the size of India
