Permanent Rep. of Libya to the UN: Hafter is war criminal not a party to peace agreement.

Highlights from the speech of Libyan United Nations Permanent Representative Taher EL-Sonni at the UN Security Council's Libya session with the participants of the Berlin Conference:

"Now you saying something about political solution. Where were you when bombs fell on civilians a year ago? These war crimes occurred right before your eyes. Some countries that support Khafter today say there is no military solution. We are tired of your double standard, hypocrisy."

"Hafter is war criminal not a party to peace agreement."

"We are a legitimate government and when we sign an agreement with any country, this is legitimate and in line with international conventions."

"(To his Russian counterpart) I want to tell my Russian colleague that there are Russian citizens in Libya. You may not have an official soldier, but Wagner has mercenaries and they carried out massacres here."

"Why does the UAE talk about the future of Libya? Is it Neighboring country? Mediterranean country or Security Council member? Since the UAE says it does not interfere with our internal affairs; why is it trying to attend every meeting? Why UAE officers train Hafter militia ?"

"We will save all the assets of our state from militia and mercenaries. Petrol is for all Libyan people. It is not a private property of putschists."

Strong statements. But we all know might is right in this world we live in. If it wasn't for Turkey we would be talking about a huge humanitarian disaster in the making and news of refugees dying in the sea.

The tides have turned. I only hope our Libyan brothers attain true freedom and peace. I hope they get the right to choose their own leader freely. Muslims will become really strong if they all are free n democratic and not under puppet dictators. Imagine the world where majority muslim countries are democratic n free, they will be mostly united, the sheer amount of diversity and cooperation will make them surpass the west. No wonder they keep indulging n keep dividing muslim countries. The few democratic muslim countries are already a great pain for them.
