Are both IK and establishment on different pages? What's going on?
Yes, as of the start of the DG ISI fiasco. IK's a goner now, it's only a matter of time, let's see if he makes it to the next scheduled election in 2023.
After months of logging in, I came to say just one thing, no.Yes, as of the start of the DG ISI fiasco. IK's a goner now, it's only a matter of time, let's see if he makes it to the next scheduled election in 2023.
Hope you're right broAfter months of logging in, I came to say just one thing, no.
IK will last until 2023, and there is zero indication that his government is at odds with the military. The DG ISI issue wasn't as big of a problem as it was made out to be, and in the end, everything worked out.
All these people saying this is the end of IK were the same ones that said NS was doing a good job economically while ignoring the fact that he was bringing the country on the verge of bankruptcy. By the way, full disclosure, I used to be one of those stupid people, though I ended up learning the hard way and having to acknowledge the fact that I was wrong.
Originally, I thought he'd be out by 2021, then I thought he'd get through to 2023 and lose his re-election bid, now I'm confident he'll not only get to 2023 but likely win a 2nd term in office.
And with that, I will leave again.
Just to make it even more clear, the DG ISI issue wasn't a matter of if, but rather of when and procedural issues.Hope you're right bro
InshallahJust to make it even more clear, the DG ISI issue wasn't a matter of if, but rather of when and procedural issues.
IK wasn't opposed to the new DG ISI, but rather he wanted to keep the old one a bit longer and was annoyed that the COAS didn't go through the proper channels, which he's right about. This was Gen. Bajwa's screw-up, and I think he knows it, which is why this was quickly resolved.
Since then, there haven't been any other major incidents between the two, nor before that. PTI remains the most army-friendly major party in Pakistan, and that's something the army realizes and won't sabotage.
Okay, now I'm leaving. See y'all next year.
