he was the imam... some new admirers call him the mahdi but i do not think that is necessary... "imam of all muslims" is just fine.

gaddfi vs saudi king...

((
))

so you say that those who opposed him and acted against him - qaeda terrorists like abdul-hakim belhaj and nato leaders like obama, sarkozy, hollande and cameron - are true muslims??

Just look up Gadaafis female bodyguards. To the rest of your comments Too tired to get in to an intellectially devoid debate

There are good people
No religion says of killings and violance but few people manuplate for their own use

and??

you think independent ladies go contrary to true islam?? and why should you listen to nato propaganda and disinfo??

you know, for the libya war, usa military was picking up afghan talibans by the plane-load... in the context of this thread, there is mullah stream vs gaddafi... take your pick.

An intellectual person who is able to see through the corruptness done by some to get benefits and is able to see the message of peace and love. It is a book that changed the very nature of the world and its shape. How different the world would have been without it.

I read his book 'Manuscript Found in Accra' just last week. Fell in love with it right from the start and now plan on reading more of his works, starting with Alchemist. Anyone else here read Paulo Coelho?

I've read a few books of him, but i'm only impressed by "The Alchemist" which is a gem and my favorite novel.

I don't know how much knowledge this Paul fellow has of Quran and Islam..understanding Quran is not like understanding a geeta or bible ...it should be read with the context called tafsir..a person should have complete knowledge of when a particular aayat had been written ...
.

No. That contradicts what is written in the Quran. "We made the Quran easy to learn. Does any of you wish to learn?"

.
Quran has definitely influenced the world...but in a negative way.

so you think ladies being liberated and being brought the right to choose their mate, have pre-wedding alimony decided, have divorce right, have re-marriage right is a bad thing??

can you tell me when did such things arrive among hindus and are they generally followed??
