The Chinese border can be resolved. Its not that complicated with them.

I am afraid its not the level of complication that's hampered any resolution. It has not been resolved because the Chinese want to keep the wound festered forcing India to spend a vast amount of focus and resources on those borders! That's exactly why the PLA bots make routine picnic trips way inside Indian territory only to go back after making sure that Indians know about it.

The Chinese know fully well that they have nothing to gain by resolving the border and they seem to trust Indians not to make foolish encroachments beyond what Indians already claim. They are also supremely confident in their abilities to answer any Indian misadventures, should push ever come to shove!

But OTOH, they also know that any border resolution will only benefit India by freeing up their resources from borders into much needed economic development. So they indulge in what can be called as Chinese version of milder 'cross border terrorism' to divert India's focus away from economic development so that India continues to remain poor.
