Bhutto/Zardaro clan don't like to hand over control of mega city due to large amount of money it generates

However their performance in city is less then spectacular

Given sindh budget is only 1 trillion rupees, what miracles can you expect from the government?.

A state with similar population in India is Andhra pradesh, which doesn't even have a city like Karachi. Its budget is about 4 times Sindhs.

Sindh's own tax revenue is abysmal. Unless that is changed, nothing can be improved. So people start paying your taxes.

In the year 2016-17 they stole 30% of budget. Yup you heard it right they stole almost 2.5 billion$ and only thing they have to say is they dont know where it went. Imagine the level of corruption they probably did with they actually put in the books just for sake of numbers. PPP is a party of looters and robber and i am not saying it metaphorically bcz some of them actually used to be Professional Robber and thieves and even spent time in jail for it.

Sindh Got 10 Billion Dollar Given they are using the finances as a salary perk to their political workers
or fuel the affairs of their inner Kingdom

Yes that is what it is they are building a Kingdom of Bhutto inside Pakistan with money stolen each year

  1. It takes a few thousand dollars to clean a neighborhood in Pakistan , due to cheap labor in Pakistan
  2. It has been proven now that they have been using fake accounts to move funds over

Just 1% of 10 billion dollar is enough to fix problem in Karachi's cleanup

These images of people licking their hands , is a symbol of Kingdoms where they give out their hand and other people grab and lick their hand and call people who do absolutely nothing as their Prince

We are a poor country with a cheap cheap labor, and army of laborer can be assembled with relatively low cost to build any canal , and underground transporter of water

The money they are getting from since 12 years are invested where? Who allows them to loot? Those allows them are partners in crime, infact they also have a major cut in this. Who is afraid of PPP? A throrough investigation should be done.

If that was the case then other provinces like KPK would be run even worse, Sindh govt wouldnt be wasting money on stupid vanity projects, and they would definitely work with the mayor of Karachi to run the city. Most importantly they wouldnt be resisting every possible chance of outside intervention from the govt or military to solve every crisis that hits Karachi.

They clearly do have the budget in place but that money is not fulfilling its intended purpose.

Not only is PPP corrupt to the core, but is now resorting to gerrymandering in Karachi to grab more control.

There was a time when I used to be inspired by the PPP leadership (~70's) but now I have nothing but disgust for it even though there are some people that I still like in the party (Sherry Rehman et-al). However, it is the most petty, short-sighted party in the history of Pakistan!

In the past two decades, only during Musharraf and MQM's time was some improvement seen in Karachi (I don't care what the naysayers of the Musharraf/MQM Local Bodies system say). The then mayor of Karachi had some power. Now Karachi is a train-wreck of unprecedented declining standards with each passing day.

New district in Karachi

ON the face of it, the PPP-led Sindh government’s move on Thursday to carve a seventh district out of Karachi seems like a harmless administrative decision. But scratch the surface and listen to the opposition’s clamour and one realises that something deeper, more sinister is afoot. The provincial cabinet has sought to create Keamari district, as well as more potential new districts in Sindh, “for the convenience of local people”, as the chief minister put it. If this really leads to better governance and service delivery, then there should be nothing to worry about. However, if these moves — specifically administrative changes in Karachi — are designed to ‘improve’ the chances of the PPP grabbing a few more seats in the metropolis, especially when local government elections are due, then such political ploys can only be condemned as gerrymandering. At this point, all evidence points to the fact that the PPP has performed an administrative sleight of hand by creating Keamari district.
Practically all major political players with stakes in Karachi — the MQM, PTI, Jamaat-i-Islami and PSP — have slammed the provincial government’s decision. Some parties say the move will add to the ethnic divide in the metropolis, while others assert that the PPP is trying to engineer a victory in LG polls. Indeed, the decision came suddenly, with no debate either in the Sindh Assembly or the KMC’s City Council. This adds credence to accusations that Sindh’s ruling party is trying to ‘create’ a power base for itself in Karachi through administrative jugglery. Interestingly, the PPP claims that more districts will make it easier to govern Sindh. However, under Pervez Musharraf’s LG system, Karachi was administratively divided into 18 towns and though that system had its flaws, it arguably worked much better than the set-up the PPP introduced under the Sindh Local Government Act, 2013. For Karachi, the latter law has been a total disaster, with the provincial government hogging almost all civic powers and creating a practically toothless KMC. The PPP considers itself the champion of devolution, accusing — often with good reason — the centre of grabbing powers that belong to the provinces. But when it comes to empowering the districts and local bodies in Sindh, the PPP wants to micromanage the entire province, particularly Karachi.
Instead of making cosmetic changes by carving out new districts, let the PPP introduce a new LG law in the Sindh Assembly with the consensus of all parties. In particular, water, sewerage, solid waste and other key civic functions of Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana and Sukkur should be the responsibility of elected mayors of these cities. If the PPP genuinely wants to win the hearts and votes of the people of Karachi, let it serve the city by giving it an elected, empowered municipality, instead of trying to control the metropolis through dicey measures.

Its actually "Zardari" Daher. Who are we kidding about Bilawal being a Bhutto? He is essentially a puppet in the hands of AAZ. I did not know in our culture, family names came from the mother's side.

.
Brahmin culture and caste issues forced the name change.

.
The easiest and long term solution to Karachi is empowering local bodies all over Pakistan via parliament.

Don't come with the nonsense that our can't be done because pti don't have majority. This is easily doable the only thing is establishment need to play its role and secretly buy few PMLN and ppp senators who will vote in favor.

After that fund the town nazims and keep strict eye on their work yoy basis.

.
Zardari Chor Party that should be their party name. Their ranking are as follows:

1. Zardari
2. Yousaf Raza Gillani and family.
3. Raja Parvez and co.
4. Rahman Malik
5. Bilour railway minister
6. Babar Awan

Not to mention the remaining platoon of thieves. However these 6 names seem to have made world records in corruption that in my opinion are still unbreakable to this day.
