Don't be quick to pass conclusions, my friend. The seldom cautious err. As may have come to your attention,Turkey, like India, only has observer status at the CERN and is not listed as an Associate Member and therefore, at the cost of sounding redundant, is clearly not an Associate Member. How then does one tally the following para:
"CERN Director-General Rolf Heuer and Mr Taner Yildiz, Minister for Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey, today
signed an agreement admitting Turkey to CERN Associate Membership, subject to ratification by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the Meclis."
Turkey to become Associate Member State of CERN | CERN
Associate membership at the CERN for Pakistan, as is the case with Turkey, is only a matter of time. If I were an Indian patriot I'd therefore jump with joy by saying, "Pakistan is NOT an associate member" but for the sake of political correctness I'd qualify my polemic by adding "
yet" to the end of it.
"Pakistan is NOT an associate member,
yet."
I'll be sure to prompt you when Pakistan does become an Associate Member in the coming year. We must all learn to share in the joy of one another's successes.
