Sarabjit Singh was attacked with bricks and iron rods in 2013 inside the prison where he was lodged for the last 16 years. He died five days after being admitted to a hospital in Lahore.

ISLAMABAD: Two prime suspects facing charges of murdering Indian national Sarabjit Singh in a Pakistani jail have been acquitted by a district and sessions in Pakistan court.

According to media reports from Lahore, Amir Tandba and Mudasir Munir who were Singh's fellow inmates at Kot Lakhpat jail in Lahore allegedly tortured him to death in 2013.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Moin Khokar ordered the release of suspects after witnesses withdrew their statements, the Dawn reported. Singh died in a Lahore hospital after suffering severe injuries in the head after being hit by bricks and other blunt weapons.

He breathed his five days after being admitted to Lahore Jinnah Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in May, 2013. Singh had been sentenced to death on charges of espionage and alleged involvement in a string of bombings in Pakistan in 1990 his sentencing created a huge outcry in India.

Several mercy petitions were filed by his lawyers none of which were granted. India had asked Pakistan to conduct a probe into the murder of the 49-year-old. Singh's sister Dalbit Kaur had said there was no need for a probe if the attack was planned by Pakistan Government itself, if not, she demanded to investigate how

Sarabjit's security was compromised and he was attacked with bricks and iron rods.

The then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh demanded justice from Pakistan for the slain Indian citizen. Singh was convicted of spying for India and had been lodged in Pakistan jails for 16 years before his murder.

Singh's family had insisted that he was a case of mistaken identity as he strolled into Pakistan after getting drunk.

Singh illegally crossed into Pakistan on August 29, 1990. He was arrested and charged with involvement in bombings of Faisalabad, Multan and Lahore that killed 14 Pakistani citizens. (AGENCIES)

Good

After all they killed killer of Pakistanis

Singh had been sentenced to death

There is a difference between sentenced for life and sentenced to death. Well to Pakistani government that incident was sad, because he was sentenced to death after serving his good portion of life in the prison. He had to suffer before his death, and that couldn't happen because the inmates killed him, thats a sad incident. Only a retard would compare a life sentenced prisoner to a terrorist who was involved in bombings and sentenced to death.

A Pakistani prisoner held in Jaipur Central Jail in the Indian state of Rajasthan was stoned to death by a group of inmates earlier on Wednesday.

According to prison authorities, the convict, identified as Shakir, was found dead in his cell.

Shakir was undergoing life imprisonment. After the incident, senior police officials along with forensic experts arrived at the prison.

Shiv Sena warns BJP against using Pulwama attack for political gains

In 2001, Shakir had been arrested from the Indian state of Gujarat and had been incarcerated in the Jaipur prison since then.

Sources privy to the development remarked that the Pulwama attack in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) heightened rage towards Pakistanis among inmates, causing them to commit such an act.

On February 19, as the diplomatic row between the two neighbouring countries heated up, authorities in Rajasthan gave visiting Pakistani nationals a 48-hour ultimatum to leave the country.

In 2014, a 42-year-old convict was killed in a prison in the city of Ambala located in Haryana.

According to a list compiled this year, over 350 Pakistanis are held in different jails across India.

Well, another lucky punter who can certainly validate "we be the same". This b*iatch below made a startling dscovery that Lahore and Delhi are similiar. She was expecting that like Dublin, London, Paris, Berlin, Warsaw, Moscow it would be like earth sand mars differance. Hey they even got red mosques there. Maybe she should visit Soho Road Gurdwara, Birmingham and see that it resembles Amritsar. Even the locals are Sikhs speaking same languagre/dress.

Sarabjit Singh murder: a serious miscarriage of justice

Dangerous game Indian establishment is playing , not realising that there are more Indians rotting in Pakistani jails.

I guess it's actually the other way around. :disagree:

“The Government of Pakistan today (Tuesday) handed over a list of 537 Indian prisoners (54 civilians and 483 fishermen) in Pakistan to the High Commission of India in Islamabad,” it said. The step was taken under the Consular Access Agreement of May 21, 2008 between Pakistan and India, the Foreign Office said.

According to the agreement, both countries are required to exchange lists of prisoners in each other’s custody twice a year, on January 1 and July 1. At least 347 Pakistani citizens or those believed to be Pakistani citizens, including 249 civilians charged under various acts and 98 fishermen who had crossed into Indian waters, are in Indian jails.

Don't hang Kulbushun.... that will be quick and painless. Instead cut off a finger or two and mail to India.

Seriously, are you nuts ??? Don't forget that 249 Pakistani civilians are in Indian jail as compared to mere 54 Indian Civilians in Pakistani jail as we speak. I guess you know what that mean. :hitwall:
