Pakistani owned IT firm among top US companies
NEW YORK: An IT technology training company based in Austin (Texas), which is run by a Pakistani enterpreneur, has been adjudged as one of the Top 500 Emerging Businesses in the United States, a company press release said Sunday.
The selection of Pakistani-owned Cyber-Tex Incorporated was made by DiversityBusiness.com, the leading U.S. multicultural business website, which is seen by over 15 million people and is used by Fortune 500 companies and large buying organizations to find new business partners.
This award, which was announced on January 23, is the basis of an annual Top Business List prepared by Diversity Business, in its 9th annual countrywide competition in which 650,000 companies took part throughout the United States.
You have distinguished yourself as one of the top entrepreneurs in the country and are most deserving of this award and recognition, Kenton Clarke, president and chief executive officer of Diversity Business, wrote to Mr Iqbal Sheikh, the head of Cyber-Tex, Inc.
The company will be honoured at the 9th Annual National Multicultural Awards Ceremony and Conference on April 29 to May 1, 2009 which brings together Americas Top Business Owners and the Top Fortune 500 companies for promoting business opportunities. The ceremony and conference will be held at Disneys Contemporary Resort in Orlando, Florida and 1,200 business leaders are expected to participate.
Sheikh, who founded Cyber-Tex migrated to the US in 1999, said, This year we are celebrating its 10th anniversary. We have been continuously listed among top 25 Computer Training Schools since 2001. We were at number 7 in Austin Business Journals Book of Lists, last year.
From a humble beginning in 1999, our revenue rose to US$1.5 million last year. In the next 7 years CyberTex will be a full fledged College/University having campuses in many states all over USA.
