Well main problem is corruption within government organisation, same story even here in India.

That is why private players are important for such projects. Just look at vehicle made by Tata, Ashok Lealend.

putting our men on Toyota hilux trucks is criminal. and we need many mine IED resistant vehicles we can get. UK vehicles might not be enough and expensive to get and keep

but problem is

this cat was not good enough. do you remember when our policemen died inside the "APC" during Karachi operation? they were shot with AP rounds. looking at this CAT I dont know how well its armor would have been against those rounds.

Agreed! And this one does not even look like an MRAP.

Armored vehicles made by HIT were easily destroyed by terrorists. Karachi police used their vehicles in Lyari and terrorists and gang members easily targeted and penetrated their armor with high velocity bullets.

I hope guys at Heavy Industries Taxila take no offence but strive to build better products.

Looking at less than below par performance of their armored vehicles, I m concerned tanks built by HIT are also made of cheap materials that might not survive battlefield. I hope i m wrong.
