Pakistani bodybuilder wins gold medal in US

Whey gain is good choice. Basically amino acids and short peptides derived from hydrolysis of casein, the major milk protein. Easier to get into system and quickly add mass.
Should i go for it?

There is no harm but only good; do take it. However, this is something that you take in addition to your usual protein intake. Quality (and variety) of protein is of utmost importance. In my hay days (20 years ago), I used to eat lots of muscles (hard to chew but great source of natural creatine) at-least once a day; shanks, and lean meat all three grounded and semi cooked. I wouldn't mind eating raw at times too. Why? because you get a variety of amino acids from various types of meats. I also used to rotate between beef and mutton for the same reason. Chicken I never liked except in soup. Yes, raw eggs, I used to begin my day with three raw eggs.

. . .
Happy exercising. :)
I developed new habbit......I take a 1-2 hour walk (most of the time if not daily)....with Mp3 in my Ears
.
Iam happy with it......esp after your enrich Food Advice.... its time for Aftari......Countdown begins :enjoy:

I did OK I guess. As far as raw meat is concerned, it is haram indeed but for a very bizarre reason I had developed habit of eating raw meat. We had a dog (of my age) and occasionally my father would give me raw meat to feed to him. I was young, 7-8 years old. Seeing my dog eating meat, I thought I could eat it too and somehow I developed taste for raw meat. Though I knew it was wrong and I would do it while my parents were not around.

When I got into body building (nothing pro just for interest sake), I used to read lots of books and discussed with veterans (including my father) who did suggest consuming semi-cooked meat; my father used to call it 'half done'. Adding raw meat to the menu was something from myself and while knowing it was haram, at that age it was perhaps not the priority but gaining muscles. I passed on to you what I practiced, now it is your choice whether you want to follow the suit. Back in those days, protein supplements were not so commonly available especially in cities like Quetta where I hail from.

I've heard that instead of raw meat, boiled meat also does the trick, is it true?.

OK, theory is this. When you consume protein (meat), it gets partially digested in the stomach through the action of acid (HCl) and a protease called Pepsin. Hydrolysed and partially digested proteins then enter into small intestine where they further get degraded by the action of at-least three proteases called Trypsin, Chymotrypsin, and Carboxypeptidase. This results in the release of individual amino acids and very short peptides that then absorb into the blood and get processed in the liver.

Now meat is not just protein but minerals and vitamins too. While minerals can sustain cooking (heat), vitamins often get destroyed. For those who are interested in building muscles, vitamins are as important as are proteins. Though vitamins can be taken as supplements, why not together with dietary proteins? Secondly, there is no clear evidence that cooked meat provides more energy compared to semi-cooked or raw meat. Cooking does denature (partially digest) proteins but at the same time coagulates them too that renders proteins resistant to the action of proteases in stomach and small intestine. This would eventually result in less amino acid release per gram of meat. However, I am not advocating consumption of raw meat. One can strike a balance by consuming half done meat.

About boiled meat... this technique works best for tough, cartilaginous cuts such as shins, shanks, tripes, and trotters but not for lean cuts. Body builders prefer to consume ground meat (again to expedite digestion process) as petties or meat balls any way, and thus would not gain much benefit from boiled meat.
