Indian passport gives you more on arrival countries than China. So I suppose they are ahead than China then?I have travelled quite a bit on Pakistani passport and I never faced any difficuilty. If you have the right papers you will get US/UK visa without any hassle. My brother just got his schengen visa easily.

Countries like Botswana and Nicaragua have visa on arrival for UK but countries more developed than them like Turkey or South Africa dont. Alot of different factors contribute too like bilateral agreements , reciprocity .
