We are independent enough to raise one foot at time, we can't raise both. What I want to say is that the truth is somewhere in between.Pakistan never had a choice lol. I like how people think that Pak is independent.
agreed, but sometimes knowledge of things makes you coward for survival. we can say anything because we are patriots and emotional but we are not aware of the matters people in power know.We are independent enough to raise one foot at time, we can't raise both. What I want to say is that the truth is somewhere in between.
Independence starts with your thoughts, if you think you are free or want to be free, only then you can get free.
Freedom has a price to pay...not only to snatch it from the masters and enslavers (as our forefathers did for decades against the British and the Hindus of the subcontinent to win Pakistan in 1947) but also to maintain it..it is like a plant, you just can't forget it after sowing the seeds, you have to water it and provide fertiliser from time to time. Look at China, they have worked hard as a nation, their women used to make steels in their homes which made them sick.. Today if you independent and have some strength against the enemies because you decided under ZAB's leadership to make a nuclear bomb and his resolve "we will eat grass for thousand years but we will make the nuclear bomb"... that was the kind of resolve needed by the nation and the leadership otherwise Pakistan had no chance...just see there so many wealthy Muslim countries but none of them is even close to make one.. because they lack that resolve. We have to rekindle that spirit that no matter we get sanctioned or threats to be attacked or even attacked, we will stand steadfastly and stay independent until our last man or woman is alive. We will work hard honestly and without complaining and nagging. We will abstain from lusting after unnecessary material luxuries until we become self sufficient and self reliant. Look at China, it stands tall even militarily without a single weapons system from the west. Most of its systems are made indigenously and some of purchased from Russia...mostly to reverse engineer and copy..whatever one calls it but they did it because it was necessary for their survival. So if we want true independence, we should be ready to pay the price..if not then stop complaining and accept the reality and live like an obedient slave.agreed, but sometimes knowledge of things makes you coward for survival. we can say anything because we are patriots and emotional but we are not aware of the matters people in power know.
same like before becoming a parent we have different approach to deal with kids different behaviours but when we become parents so many things we have to ignore, take it easy and use soft approach, and get so much opposition from others inexperienced and young people.
We always say change start from grass root and individual, yes very good and can work till a certain point, but if top management is corrupt, honest people will never prosper and move up the ladder. Management will promote like minded.

WASHINGTON: A representative of the US State Department assured Pakistanis attending a two-day convention at the Pakistan embassy last week that Pakistan and the United States, who have been partners for over 70 years, would continue their partnership.
Martha Patterson said that building on and improving this historical long-standing partnership was critical to both nations. She also mentioned that trade between the two countries reached $6.4 billion in 2017, an all-time high.
Officials from the US State Department and USAID also made a presentation on the ongoing cooperation in various areas between Pakistan and the US.
Responding to Ms Patterson’s remarks, Ambassador Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry acknowledged the US had made historic contribution towards the economic and social development of Pakistan and Islamabad was willing to cooperate with Washington to continue this relationship.

The convention, however, focused on the role that the Pakistani-American community could play in cementing this old relationship that was going through a bad patch.
Welcoming the participants, Ambassador Chaudhry said the Pakistani-American community was already playing a key role in bringing the two countries together by forging strong people-to-people relations. He hoped that young Pakistani-Americans would continue to enrich various facets of American society and life by excelling in their chosen fields of endeavour.
He said that an engaged and civic-minded expatriate community was key to enhancing mutual goodwill and understanding between Pakistan and the US.
The first-day of the convention was divided into panel discussions and presentations, which were punctuated by cultural and musical performances that showcased the diversity of Pakistan’s rich heritage.
The six panel discussions were focused on youth engagement; role of women; voice in academia and think-tanks; civic engagement; harmony through art and literature; and entrepreneurs. Each panel comprised Pakistani-Americans who had distinguished themselves in the subject area.
Summing up the day’s formal proceedings, Ambassador Chaudhry said that an outcome document, to be issued after the event, will enumerate the key ideas discussed during the convention. He stressed that the embassy would continue to provide a platform for Pakistani-Americans to network and interact for articulation and attainment of common objectives.
Pakistan’s Consuls General in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Houston also participated in an interactive session on the provision of consular services to the Pakistani-American communities in their areas of jurisdiction.
