Turkish delegation visits Pakistan to participate the 8th High level Military Dialogue group meeting
ISLAMABAD: A Turkish military Delegation led by General Hulusi Akar, Deputy Chief of Turkish General Staff is currently visiting Pakistan to participate in the 8th High level Military Dialogue group meeting. The visiting defence delegates alongwith Turkish Ambassador H.E Mustafa Babur Hizlan called on Secretary Ministry of Defence Production Lt Gen (R) Shahid Iqbal here today.
During the meeting matters of bilateral importance were discussed. Views on both sides were exchanged on promoting defence cooperation in industrial sector. This will further open avenues for joint collaboration. Both sides also discussed matters of regional security and importance of an upgraded and hitech system of defence and defence production.
The Turkish delegation also attended Defence Industrial working group meeting at the Ministry of Defence Production today. The session was jointly presided by Additional Secretary Maj Gen Tariq Rashid Khan and his Turkish counterpart. Turkish delegates were briefed on the importance of defence production in the current regional and global security environment.
The 8th high level military dialogue group meeting concluded here at the Ministry of Defence. The minutes and proceedings of the event have been signed.
