during soviet times bharat was the biggest recipient of American aid. during 1962 Chinese invasion and recovery of occupied S.Tibet and other Chinese areas, US assembled a taskforce to assist indians to re-steal the Chinese lands formerly occupied by india. but Chinese, showing wisdom, evacuated the areas before American arrival.

again in 71 the US permitted the Soviets to aid indira to take E. Pakistan. only intervened to stop her when she tried to head toward W. Pakistan

Perhaps; another reason could be because India never really fully entered the Soviet sphere and was always diplomatically more active than Pakistan. We have relied solely on the US, UK Saudi Arabia, and UAE, paying very little attention to the far east, Australia, Europe, Africa etc., even though it was France which helped us with the Nuclear Power Plant and the Mirages amongst other European countries with various support services.

About '71, the US also drew a red line on West Pakistan, sending 2 Aircraft Carrier Battle Groups and encouraging the UK to send her own CBG. I recall the US also encouraged China to assist Pakistan in '71 but the Chinese never did, for their own reasons.

Agreed and well said. A new investment based (not interest based) financial system led by China & Russia along with Pakistan, Turkey and most if not all of the african and south american nations that will have its own watch dog organizations that will not only check corruption and western havens for money laundering but also check racism and bigotry is a must and a need of the hour.

I said this 2 years ago on this forum… its completely pointless to follow FATF recommendations for the same reason. FATF never place Pakistan on a blacklist neither in a white. Its fucking arm twisting org nothing else more… Khan govt is stupid…
