Pakistan to receive huge offer from Russia

This is how the Russians work.

Say you want a Honda, and they know it.
They will ask you to buy a Suzuki ( that has had a tough sale market ).

This is something that Pakistan has had a problem understanding, it's business and this is the cost you pay.

MOSCOW: Pakistan and Russia on Sunday signed a deal in which Russia to make biggest ever offers to Pakistan in bilateral history, billions of dollars, Sukhoi jets and much more to develop its stakes in Pakistan’s economy.

After Russia has decided to develop its stakes in Pakistan’s economy in a big way and to this effect, a 64-member delegation headed by Minister for Trade and Industries for the Russian Federation Denis V Manturov is visiting Pakistan for four days from today to December 11 to attend an Inter-Governmental Commission.

Russia has aspired many times to help reconstruct Pakistan. Russia were provided financial assistance worth $1 billion for the rehabilitation and upgrading Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) project. This matter has received a positive response and is presently under active consideration at the highest level on the Russian side.

The Russian-based company developed a project of converting Muzaffargarh thermal power station to coal and establishing a 600-megawatt coal-fired power plant at Jamshoro.

Russia will offer Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100); a narrow-bodied aircraft with a dual-class cabin that can transport 100 passengers over regional routes.

The plane is being marketed by Sukhoi – a major military aircraft manufacturer in Russia – in Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar.

“The aircraft is comparable in comfort to Airbus and even Boeing”

Sukhoi claims that the plane has an 8-10% efficiency advantage on cash operational costs over competitors; reduced fuel burn per seat; a new engine designed especially for the SSJ 100; higher maintenance intervals; lower operating costs; spacious cabins; wide seats; and lower noise and emissions.
Mentioning about the Russian offer of SSJ-100 aircraft to PIA, the officials said that the said planes will be available on direct purchase and lease to purchase options and can be positioned immediately on wet lease to meet the immediate operational requirements of PIA.

The aircraft can be operated both on domestic and international sectors to the Middle East, CIS, India, China, Colombo, Bangladesh, UAE etc. Aircraft can be supplied on both wet or dry lease with an option to purchase.

The official said that the route analysis was done for PIA in 2012 and more importantly Sukhoi SuperJet SSJ-100 is a pet project of President Putin.

Pakistan and Russia had signed a bilateral defence cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening military-to-military relations in November last year. The deal had to be followed by another ‘technical cooperation agreement’ to pave the way for the sale of defence equipment to Pakistan.

Besides helicopters, Pakistan also appears interested in other Russian hardware.

Russia and Pakistan have lately been working on enhancing defence cooperation and are believed to have already covered a lot of ground. Exchange of visits by military commanders in recent years is an indication of progress achieved in this regard.

@Zarvan It's not Sukhoi SU-35 but the S-100 Superjet Airliner. :(

Russia alone is grappling under severe sanctions and you say they are interested in investing in Pakistan....
What are they going to invest in ? Rubles??
Which bank is going to be the dealer on behalf of pakistan govt

So is Iran,
How is Indian getting around, in Chabahar ?

. . . .
So Russia is investing in coal projects and offering Sukhoi transport jets, not fighters.

Planet is moving away from coal. Why not more nuclear power plants?
india and china both producing more than 60% of their electricity through coal power plants where as the coal % in Pakistan electricity is not more than 15%. So If india and china dont care about environment, than why Pakistan do so ?

Hardly much
India doesn't seem to be too interested in chabahar lately mostly not to irk USA. May be we will wait till another 4 more years

Yeah and the way to thrive while in those sanctions is to invest in upcoming powerhouse economies like Pak and put some stakes in CPEC kinda stuff.
Point is not Russia investing in Pakistan, which pakistani state/Pvt bank will come to honor such deal..??

Burnol production. It's a know fact that there is a massive market for it, in India.
Predominantly export oriented

Because the fastest way to catch up economically and socially is to bypass the current technology and move on to the next generation one. It's also cheaper in the long run as you don't have to go through two generations of changes.

As for planes the A200 series is a magnificent plane, it's shameful what Boeing did when Delta ordered it here.

Look junior.
Loss or lack of interest would imply, that the chabahar, isn't as profitable as before.
This is not the case, because the basic premise of central asia connection still holds true.

Fact, of the matter is that Mother india has been disciplined and will stand in line, to what the Saudis say.
so, 4 years ... blah, it's never going back, as long as refinery is built in india.

.
Sabir Shakir in his youtube video said that Pakistan and Russia signed an air defense deal.
I have not been able to find any news about it.

Saudi disciplining India,
Do you think we are rules by chauffers???

Poor country. Nucleur are expensive as compared to coal in current circumstances.
NUclear is cash expensive but coal will be life expensive for Pakistanis...think long term not short term (this is the ultimate 3rd world curse).

There are already one or two nucleur plants under manufacturing.

.
Is there any country good enough for you?
Why you think you are so important that the world conspiring against you .
While saudis were on our side, Indians didn't see them as the ones supporting Pakistan . They continuously offer hand of friendship and finally now they are at the point where they are good acquaintance and business partners. So your best friend is now their friend .
But you don't even want to befriend their best friend .
You sound like a mother searching wife for his son..no matter how dumb, ugly and stupid the son may be according to her mother he deserve the best . And that best has not being created on earth .
ouch. please take it easy on this brother.
