Pakistan to give nationality to Bangladeshi immigrants, announces Imran Khan

Being born on a soil doesn't make one a part of that nation. Was Ahmad Shah Abdali a bhangra dancing, Punjabi speaking jatt because he was born in Multan? No, he was a Pashtun/Afghan.

Its like saying a Korean born in Zimbabwe is now a Black African.

This birth-right-citizenship nonsense is a recent creation of Anglo-American Liberalism.

As regards Islam, yes let me know about this Islam when Bangladesh is dumping it entire poor in Pakistan, lessening its own burden while we become the cucks who shut-up in the name of Muslim brotherhood and turn Pakistan into a international yateem-khana for Ummah.

Actually Abdali has never been looked at as an invader owing to the unique demographics of the river indus.

Pashtun and Afghan are not Synonyms either.

If giving a Child born to a place the native right is Liberalism. Then i am all ears to your definition of conservatism.

.
This is what legislation is all about. The government can Introduce measures allowing the 3rd Generation onwards birth Rights.

This is an eventuality for a country founded 70 years ago.
Firstly, by what measure are these people "3rd" generation? Everyone's just parroting each other.

Secondly, when these people were in Bangladesh they were 100th generation Bangalis. Their Bangla identity is ethnic. For them Pakistan is just a proposition nation.

Actually Abdali has never been looked at as an invader owing to the unique demographics of the river indus.

But he was neither a Punjabi, and Punjab was not considered a part of Afghan/Pashtun territory (thus the name).

Okay, cool, no birth right citizenship for people who have a country already.

These sindhis that died few days ago fighting afghanis on border are Turks?

First this batch gets citizenship, then couple of years later another 3 million arrive and then you lot will be advocating to give them citizenship too, while Sheikh Hasina continues to pump out millions more. I'm sure you will be the one personally feeding, clothing and housing all of those people at your own expense right?

Jus Soli had its time and place where it made sense....i.e large areas needing to be settled in the Americas...and also expansion westwards into territories of Mexico where US didnt want to drive away the settled population when they took that territory.

Hence all of the Americas largely has this policy for citizenship still. It is an artefact of the earlier days for sure and has to be revised big time imo.

Pakistan already has done something good regarding this, its not an unfettered jus soli (like US) but it has been correctly interpreted (imo) by Pak supreme court to concern only legal births (i.e the people have to be there legally in Pakistan) for the law of citizenship to apply in first place. i.e they cannot be refugee (legal but special clause) or illegal.

This is actually a debate going on behind the scenes in US right now (i.e should the reading of jus soli concern only those born under legal circumstances)....but the process will be long (result is uncertain too) and tons of damage has been done and will be done in meantime.

Imran Khan is just verbally doing this for some kind of votebanking/optics....the actual law/court hearing of the issue/ruling is quite different in Pakistan. Jus Soli only portends to those born under legal circumstances. Which means I.K has to go through a legal process to get that law changed to a more liberal reading, which I think will get much blowback/resistance from both his own party and of course all the others (esp those in Sindh like PPP) too.

A switch to blood-right citizenship (jus sanguinis) is also a fair approach or some composite of the two (that a few european countries use). In fact jus sanguinis (India uses only this as another example in your list) is the default approach existing worldwide I believe, jus soli is just added on top (otherwise kids born to US parents residing outside the country could never get US citizenship etc, this came into the limelight notably regarding Ted Cruz in 2016 etc). But a switch would need again the citizenship act of 1951 in Pakistan to be removed and replaced by a new one....given its a fundamental change. I think just keeping jus soli but adding sufficient clauses would be the right way to go....easier and more prudent. But of course the PM would need to be supportive of that tack, this speech shows quite the opposite desire....but how deep is it w.r.t words versus actual policy? We have to see.

This is simple mathematics. Use the census Reports and age of the People. This is everyday government task.

The illegals should a) sent back b) armed and sent back.

The name abdali did not remind you of ???
Okay, cool, no birth right citizenship for people who have a country already.

Arm them.

There is a rohingya genocide, a pashtun genocide in Afghanistan too.

Let them collect Jizya for you

If your country has any honor (which it doesn't) you will take back all of your Myanmar loving Bangla brothers ("Rohingyas"), all of your India loving brothers, and your Pakistan loving brothers, all of whom number at least 50 million in total.

But you see, you are a nation of brothels and continue to pump children like rats and then send them to neighboring countries.
Keep vomiting nonsense mister shameless Pakistani with low HDI.

1. Mayanmar will take Rohingya back. Thanks to international community.
2. India never ever talked about illegal immigration with Bangladesh.
3. We kill Pakistan lovers. You should do that too with Bengalis in Pakistan.

4. As if there are NO brothers in Pakistan!
5. Bangladesh has replacement level birth rate. Unlike your baby booming Pakistan with LOL amount of immunization!

BTW, talk with civility mister...

Interesting. I believe there is a thread on this. jus sanguinis is more preferable.

Thousands have gone back in few years. Rest too will go back if we keep on same track. It will also prevent further migration more then anything. Make refugee camps near border and shift them there. Once they feel afghanistan is safe then they can cross over for good. I like what KP have done, they have successfully made thousands return "voluntarily". Obviously same tactics in Karachi will mean they will start playing ethnic card but that's why PTI is in Islamabad, to take care of this afghani propaganda of equating themselves with pathans.

State doesn't have resources to uplift millions of foreigners in expense of our own people. Neither Pakistan can afford to change delicate demographics of provinces.

And keep pumping out children like a brothel Mr. shameless Bangladeshi with no HDI.

 No Myanmar won't, because Shonar Bangla has to take its spawn back.

They forgot to kill you.

This will only increase the ethnic divide which is not an ideal thing.

Yes for a stabilized country with an existing (rather than forming) identity of nationhood and also stabilized border/territory...it is by far the best (jus sanguinis)...since it is the most clearest to preserving what strengthens you long term.

Jus soli is really when you want to expand and you have a social system largely attuned to picking up immigrants selectively from regions your original settlers/founding fathers came from etc....i.e you are setting up a system/country/what have you....and not reached the stabilisation era yet.

But Ted Kennedy and his little identity politics globalist gang basically ruined that concept by pushing for the opening up large scale equal-equal migration based on feelz, yet keeping the jus soli system intact. Its similar to opening borders yet keeping big govt welfare system in place (i.e completely unfeasible in long term to have such....you need 0 welfare with open borders OR you need closed controlled borders if you want a welfare system).

.
This will only increase the ethnic divide which is not an ideal thing.

Not really, but giving afghanis and bengolis citizenship will. Refugees were always supposed to go back. Neither Sindh or Balochistan will agree. And KP is on same page if you ignore ethnic nationalists. Thousands of afghanis going back from KP is proof of that.

.
This is simple mathematics. Use the census Reports and age of the People. This is everyday government task.
If an Bangali living in Bangladesh for hundreds of generation can leave Bangladesh for Pakistan because of economic incentives, what makes you sure they will be loyal to Pakistan after 2-3 generations?
The name abdali did not remind you of ???
I was talking about Punjab.
Arm them.

There is a rohingya genocide, a pashtun genocide in Afghanistan too.

We played that game before. And regarding Rohingya genocide, that's Bangladesh's responsibility because those are Bangla people living in Myanmar.

.
If you Go by that stastical understanding of crime. Muslims will win this battle hands down.

Arent you the guy who advocates natures law when it comes to societal philosophy yet you turn a blind eye to born to the soil?

We have 3rd Generation of Aliens who would prefer to be identified as Pakistanis and consider it their birth right.

Why is that such a Bad thing?

The government is entrusted by the People with Allahs witness to provide justice and equality in the Land to all its inhabitants.

They adhere to the evolving Pakistani culture as much as anyone.

Listen troll. Don’t bring his religion into this discussion. His religion is not here to defend illegals who enter our Pakistan. They came here for the economic reasons. And not for the love of it.

Law of the land is saying they are illegals. If you want sharia law in Pakistan. Then please implement it fully and be prepared for it to bust all this haram Pakistani culture we practice.

These two groups of races don’t come from best of stock regarding Pakistan.

One group sided in its shameful breakup. The other is no better.

So for these groups they don’t have a fatwa of not being being dealt by law
