Pakistan to develop chip manufacturing sector with help of China

The investments required are in tens of billions of dollars. Pakistan invested $500,000 in six universities to promote "chip design" . That does not show commitment and is laughably meagre amount to even scratch the outer layers of "chip design".

No "Chinese" chip manufacturer has outsourced production to SE Asian countries or any where else because the West has a stranglehold on semiconductor IP and the means of making those chips.

China claims it has 22nm Litho built in house. We have yet to see an actual product from this Lithography machine mass manufacturing chips.

China itself will need AT LEAST a decade to reach capabilities of Western machines in todays format and their efficiency ( working versus faulty semi's) will be suspect.

Any new country attempting semiconductor manufacture has to rely on obtaining the right licences and the right equipment from the West.

India with nearly $60 billion to spend on building a FAB has as of today failed to get the right licences. It is going to be very expensive for India to get started but it has deep pockets and a large market.

Does Pakistan ??

Chip manufacturing involves too many steps. It is co-produced by whole Westworld. No country can manufacture independently.

China wants to independently produce most semiconductor equipment.

like i said. If China can help India to make cameras. well. why can't China help Pakistan to make 3D NAND?

.
they did a great job getting scammed on CPEC. they are no doubt fully capable :partay:
That's you Indian fools' opinion as we all know you don't want to see any cooperation or collaboration between Pakistan and China or any country and China. Mind the appalling shithole state of your country now before you worry someone's.

why can't China help Pakistan to make 3D NAND?
Because China manufactures 3D NAND using Western licences and Western Equipment.
IF China is willing to setup a 3DNAND fab in Pakistan by obtaining the right licences and equipment and is willing to make a multi-billion investment, then sure.

Is China willing to make this investment, which it has not in any other country, even those more suited in SE Asia ?

You say no single country can make 3dNAND. Toshiba did. They invented the 3DNAND.

China manufactures using western licences.

you pretend like rest of the world is stopping any dealings with Pakistan and China. Nothing is stopping you.

you make it sound like America forces Pakistan to take a $3 billion IMF loan when China does nothing with $3 trillion FOREX reserves :partay:

I am talking specifically about your countries India and US, they are always not happy for any deal between Pakistan and China, and always have negative things to bitch about, it's a known fact, lol.

the agreement level,” said Hamza Saeed. He said that authority STZA devised a multi-pronged strategy in consultation with Chinese stakeholders. The Foreign Office of Pakistan has a special section for Chinese affairs while the STZA has introduced a comprehensive strategy with the Pakistani embassy in China about outreach to Chinese businesses. Pakistan embassy issued 200 letters to different Chinese tech companies. According to the ministry’s report, China has positioned itself as a hub for manufacturing and supplying hardware components which makes the supply of such products in abundance and at affordable prices. The volume of the global semiconductor chip industry is expected to reach about $600 billion in 2022 with 80% of the products coming from a handful of manufacturers in selected countries. The past two years have seen a critical chip shortage, which has resulted in a loss of more than $500 billion. The chip industry is looking to increase its overall output on a global scale so that the supply and demand disparity does not get as dire as it did in 2020. The governments have already committed billions of dollars to increase output with some 50% higher outputs expected from traditional manufacturing clusters in places like China’s Taiwan region and Korea.

Finally, some good news.

No. bro. Japan has never faced systematic sanctions and blockades like China. Toshiba never needs to worry about the issue of key component embargoes.

This is the 3D NAND industry chain in China. Except for lithography. Almost all key equipment is made in China.

China is fully capable of helping Pakistan manufacture 3D NAND

Bro first we need make potatoe chips and than we think making of computer chips in next century

Their is no political will by our politicians to improve our country sorry to say that you living in fairytales dude

I don't know if Hamza Saeed was talking from his mouth or a$$, this sounds more like a fart. This idiot might not even know what chips is he talking about I am sure he thinks potato chips.

10 years of China and CPEC ====> Pakistan cannot buy gas for military
5 more years of it =====> sell land to China, nothing else will be left

Wake up Pakistan
China is not the problem, problem is Napak army, and its PDM poodles.

LOL The Indian is so concerned about Pakistan. Middle finger to India and the US. Pakistan is fully allied with China. More CPEC! 😁

I am talking specifically about your countries India and US, they are always not happy for any deal between Pakistan and China, and always have negative things to bitch about, it's a known fact, lol.

There is no doubt. No matter what happens. Pakistan and China are going to cooperate on all levels.
