Jammu: Six civilians were injured on Monday due to indiscriminate shelling by PakistanRangers on the international border in Samba and Kathua districts of Jammu region, police said.
"Pakistan Rangers used 81 mm and 82 mm mortars to target over two dozen villages and nearly 30 border outposts of the Border Security Force (BSF) during the night," a senior police officer said in Jammu.

"The shelling and firing continued well past midnight. Six villagers belonging to four families were injured due to Pakistan shelling in Bobiya village of Kathua district. They were immediately shifted to hospital by police in bullet proof vehicles," the officer said.

Extensive damage has been caused to civilian property in Pakistan shelling, the office added.

A mini bus belonging to Pardeep Singh was damaged in Bobiya village while another villager Daljit Singh lost his cow and a buffalo calf.

"Pakistan shelling has affected almost entire international border from Arnia sub-sector in Jammu district, entire Samba district and parts of Kathua district causing damage to houses, roads and agricultural fields," the police officer said.

The officer also said that BSF has been appropriately and effectively retaliating Pakistani shelling and firing.

Due to fear and panic, villagers started migrating from many villages on the international border since Sunday evening.

The administration has set up makeshift camps in school buildings for these people away from the international border.

I don't think so. BSF's actions were reactionary. It was started by the rangers, as always.

Dear Sir sometimes its become necessary to tell aggressor that their sen less aggression can be retaliate if the not stop their unprovoked shelling on civilians.

You ask any indian (including me) here, his response will be exactly the same...... Neither you nor me know who actually is the aggressor (probably an indian will give you an added reason for the firing from the other side.... "Covering Fire for Infiltration" )... You depend on your force's version, where as I depend on Mine...... The truth may in somewhere in between....

Sir i am from Sialkot and my family's agricultural lands touch the border of Jummu and believe me not single infiltration ever happen nor claim by Indian Army or BSF why the hell Pakistan Ranger fire on border without any reason when they clearly know that our villages are too close to border as compare to Indian. Sir you check statistics most of the civilian killed from Pakistan not from India. When you clearly know that you will get more casualties as compare to enemy why you start first.

Again which statistics are you talking about??? The same mentioned in my previous posts right????? You believe that your forces are saints and they will never commit any sin.... similarly Indians believe BSF is a saint organisation and they cant commit any sin....... Now what?

Sir if you ask me i would study / analyze the facts Which i mentioned above.
1- Our villages are too close to border as compared to Indians
2- There is no infiltration ever reported on Sialkot border.
3- When you clearly know that if you fire on the other side retaliation causes more damages to your own citizens as compare to enemy.
