As you know Last year Federal Government gave Sindh , almost 8 Billion Dollars (8,000,000,0000 USD) and a further 2-3 Billion dollar (3,000,000,000 USD) just for Karachi's various projects. This is a tremendous financial figure offered to Sindh and Karachi however even after such a massive investment , quality of workmanship / clean or construction is being done at a very slow pace barely using any heavy Machinery in abundance in order to maximize duration of projects beyond normal levels

While the effort by Laborer is admirable however the big picture really is lack of efficient , fast paced development

Situation in Pakistan:
Reviewing various videos of Laborer working in Pakistan, on KCR (Karchi circular railways , one thing is visible Pakistan's interior workers and contractors still use outdated slow , ineffective means to construct

Most of the workers also lack , necessary engineering equipment
a) Heavy Boots
b) Helmets
c) Lack of necessary machinery
d) Lack of training on machinery

Even when some cases machinery comes , it is not the right amount of machinery being used

Example: This road construction takes 2-3 hours to complete , while in Pakistan this would take 2 weeks

Another example:
We have been hearing that there is a major clean up happening around KCR in Karachi, Pakisatan but when we view the every day videos uploaded by citizens we really see the problem of cleaning , and efficiency exist , every thing is being done at a turtle pace

These images should not exist in country which claims to be a leading Islamic Nation , where motto is "Cleanliness is half your religion"

Let us compare it with developed country

If people living in a suffering condition they get used to it the suffering and the ability to sense the problem finishes unless you look outside world and compare your own self. This is the problem in many areas of Pakistan Today , neighborhoods and people just have lost the sensation to understand the horrible living conditions of cities and streets

The past 2-3 days ago I happened to watch images from Africa or Srilanka and all my family folks were shocked to see level of efficient, cities and clean cities , infact srilanka was quite beautiful.

Big IMPACT on not using proper machinery:

a) Every thing takes long time to construct
b) Delay in in construction put a big strain on the budget for country if you view stuff on a big grand scale
c) Even simple things like cleaning take massively long time due to lack of processes and engineering to handle city problems

It is sad to admit but alot of Pakistani cities look like they are war torn

a) Garbage every where
b) Broken roads , unpainted pavements , and roads with lines
c) Lack of painting on residential buildings
d) Construction left over dirt / bricks all over the cities and place
e) Graffiti
f) Of course no signage laws , every one has their own size marketing banners

The addition of in efficient slow , work force makes the problem 10 fold

If we are to review , efficiency / engineering lets look at classic road system , this is just 1 view from Saddar/Karachi

a) No painted white roads
b) No Traffic Light
c) At same time traffic is going in all 4 directions
d) The buildings look like they have never been power washed/cleaned for 40 years
e) Not a single tree in sight

Every thing in the image above screams DISORGANIZATION

Suggestion if Sindh can't manage the cities might as well contract out the work for beautification to Bahria Town
May be they can use their experience of proper planning to help change the face of city , fixing small areas of city 1 at time vs tackling all city at once

  • Bahria Town has , painted streets
  • Bahria Town has proper pavement
  • Bahria Town has nice traffic lights and organized spaces

PPP should just retire if Professional Engineering Companies can't be hired to do fast paced development with high standard

Intead of hiring 1000 workers they have 1 guy digging up and 2-3 guys laying the rails
