Islamabad: Pakistani authorities have completed the rehabilitation and repair of 10 mandirs in cities across the country, including the famed Katas Raj temple in Chakwal, at a cost of millions of rupees.
The repair of the temples was part of a welfare programme for the minority communities of the country.
The temples which were repaired or renovated by the government include the Krishna Mandir in Lahore, the Sadhu Bela shrine at Sukkur, Jholay Lal Mandir in Karachi, Gurpat Mandir Siro Ghat in Hyderabad, Bhagat Ram Mandir and Sant Thawar Das Mandir in Dadu and Krishna Mandir in Rawalpindi.
Officials said a main hall and two special rooms had been built at the Bhagat Ram Mandir in Dadu to provide better facilities to visitors.
