Pakistan skips slipping into FATF blacklist: report

No need to worry. I often criticise the current government. But on certain foreign affairs related issues, they have done a good job, including FATF.

Probably by next FATF meeting or the next, we’ll be off the grey list too. The US and others probably want to keep this bargaining chip against us a little longer.

Oh, and many thanks to all of our international allies who have helped us immensely in ensuring keeping us off the black list, and now towards normalising. Special thanks to China!

Avenue for money laundering are still there..
Banks havenydone enough ..
Falooda cases will continue ..
In all honestly pakistan should be in blacklist(few to resolve all issues in two notices)

No its not atleast on bank level. One cant simply walk and open account without proper documentation of his earning.

It is the greedy banks such as Habib Bank of Pakistan which resulted in Pakistan remaining on the FATF Grey List. Co-incidentally it was the State Bank of Pakistan which exposed these banks. Yet Pakistan is punished due to the greed of these banks. Strict enforcement cannot prejudice Pakistan but the greed of the directors of these banks

Its literally gobsmackingly Alice in Wonderland world. Pakistan has been in the Grey list and has been trying all out for many many months to get out of it. Instead of saying it failed and is still in the grey list claims a victory of having escaped the Black list.
Its like saying I got cancer . I still got cancer but hey I won because I did not die.

But slowly and steadily the cancer is receding, and for a cancer patient that is a great news to celebrate. You don't tell a cancer patient not to celebrate progress in treatment and yell in his ear like a narcissist a-hole “hey you still got cancer”. Whats next don't celebrate birthdays because you are still going to die one day?
And no one here is celebrating grey list but the progress being made and the positive indications about how close Pakistan is in getting out.

However, during the meeting, no voting will be done on Pakistan’s exit from the grey list as the period of stay in the list is at least two years.

We all know if there is no "danda" our country doesn't work...
"Danda" is FATF and the government is being forced to reform our whole financial system. Irrespective of any political, industrialist or jarnel influence on trying to stop it.
The reform will pave way for international payment and financial companies to enter Pakistan.
