Pakistan does not require multi engine jets. We don't have a very large territory so no real need. Air warfare is evolving towards smaller autonomous platforms. They are also expensive to operate and maintain.

Project Azm is great but i feel it will take a long time to develop because of stealth capabilities while a normal multi engine fighter jet can be developed faster. Btw why cant we have both?

He seems to be new to the forum and I don't think this sort of response would make him want to come back, especially by a staff member. No offense just thinking of the health of the forum.
He got proper guidance from other members. If he was new to forum, he needed to search previous forums discussing such issues before beginning to start new threads... But anyway, I'm in the wrong too.

How can you say that? I havent heard anything about the project that implies it cant be single engine
F35 is the only single engined 5th gen and it has a very powerful engine ...and still it is underpowered and no such engine is available to PAF, all the baselines available to us J31, J20, TFX or perhaps Su-57 ...all are twin engined

Not possible..
This specification was mentioned once but later statements contrary to it also came out by Alan Wanes and PAC Chairman... But, I still believe the design we are working on by ourselves right now is based on a single engine.

That is true...
