I see the logic however they need to modify and add armaments to fulfill some additional duties including AD which seems to be a glaring deficiency in most PN platforms. I am no expert but I think we need more of FACs /Corvettes in the 600-1000 Ton capacity for littoral water defence leaving the larger frigates to patrol further for aggressive maneouvers.

No I mean Missile. Even if not 1000 KM even if we can develop a Missile which can be fired from FAC craft with a range of 500 to maximum 800 KM but can hit targets at land than I think these FAC specially the ones which can carry 8 Missiles would be great boost to our Navy. I don't think developing that kind of Missile can be that difficult. As for Frigates I am suggesting Sir this is the minimum number we need by in next 10 to 12 years along with several Missile boats other wise the way Indian Navy is growing we would be in major trouble.

FAC-55 is designed for TN Assault Boat project (10 to be produced) but It is officially introduced to Pakistan Navy officials and It is reported that Pakistan liked FAC-55.

FAC-55 can reach 55+knots on sea state 3, 30+ knots on sea state 5 and 60+knots on sea state 1/2. Full stealth, retrectable weapons. Have a range of 1400km at 50knots. 2000km at 18knots. COGAG turbine configuration with 3x water jets. It can stay 7 days on the sea without resupply with a maximum of 34 man on the board. STM is officially charged to develop FAC-55 for Turkish type assault boats. 10 TT boats will be delivered and total cost of this program worth 600 million $.

Stealth hull form compared to German made assault boats Turkiye have.

The PN can just equip them with Harba AShM, or the supersonic missile it's apparently working on.

Hopefully, otherwise, these boats were an absolute fail procurement like the 155mm Panthers and now the T-129 Helicopter! All three cases should be investigated by the Higher decions makers!

Why don't airforce fly the sky with

The airforce flies F16/JF17/Mirage/F7PG because they are designed for Air to Air and multi role needs

Can't expect small tiny boats to go up against 6000 tones ships

Weapon deployment and procurement is not like a shopping in the supermarket, every weapon has his own strategic and tactical role.

Every world fleet in world , Operates a modest size Friagte / Destroyer combination fleet
while , we out of 200 nations in world have come up with our own strategies , using speed boats for Naval defence

This boats during Russian-Georgian War in 2008 were only Assets of Georgian Navy who can save themselves from massive attacks, what are you talking about?

They defended theirselves against air assets. If you wanna engage enemy ships with them , first you should install SSM missiles on them. otherwise nonesense!. A cannon can destroy almost everything, isnt it?

Why PAKNavy waits for 10 years to equip them with SSM? Their stealth shape is an upper hand to infiltrate enemy formation. New ssm missile ranges almost reached 300 km. These ships can hurt enemy seriously.

I Personally am of opinion that we should pick up 4-7 Surplus Destroyer Ships from China now, install new SAMs if needed, Take Umbrella of protection to Sea
