ISLAMABAD: Name of Pakistan has been removed from the list of heroin-making countries, while 80 percent heroin of the world is being produced in Afghanistan despite the US and its allies’ control on that country, Federal Secretary Anti-Narcotics Sohail Ahmed told our sources.

He said that it was after continuous efforts for some years that Pakistan had been declared such a country where heroin was not produced according to international level.

According to sources of United Nations, 40 percent narcotics are being smuggled from Afghanistan via Pakistan while 60 percent via Iran.

Burma is also producing 16 percent heroin. Meanwhile, a sharp increase of use of heroin among people has been noticed in Pakistan.

So, are they planning to include US in the list? :undecided:

This bold part is the reason that US economy will not be in danger.

Many say that the Afghan government encourages indirect growth of heroin and makes a lot of cash from smuggling it out and exporting them.Is this true?

True, but herion is very easy to get into Pakistan and from there, to rest of the World, where many people are suffering from it.

Pakistan needs to do more.

Pakistan has done its parts, now 80% of the world's heroin is being manufactured in A'stan. US should do more and India should help US through its so many consulates...........:cheesy:

The americans will not do a thing. As this drug trade benefits them too. Remember Frank Lucas.
