Pakistan ranks third on Global Terrorism Index: report

It may well be Pakistan's own fault, it probably is. But what if the soviets came for Pakistan after Afghanistan?
Really? They could have come for Iran as well. Yet Iran didn't oblige with US, Saudi interests so blindly the way Pakistan did!

. .
You are talking like India is fully secure with no terrorist activities. Please look at the ranking and see where India is at. I don't think India is in a position to help anyone on terror related issues, especially when there is evidence of Indian financial support to these groups. Anyway, this is not a political thread so I'll stop this discussion here.
If India being at number 6 give you guys a sense of security than glad we could help you out.

.
why would india care for Pakistan.
terrorism in Pakistan is not indias problem. as long as it doesn't affect India.
and no India and Pakistan are not friends. keep that notion out.
I never said any of those 3 things. Learn to read.

.
This report is based on year 2013,
Things are much improved after Zarb-e-Azb!

.
IMO Pakistan have to close hes border with Afghanistan, then to clean the terrorists from inside
Actually, Afghanistan's new government was thinking to do the same unilaterally for the time being. Pakistan has been blackmailing and abusing Afghanistan for decades since its a landlocked country and need Pakistan as a passway for trade and commerce with the outside world.

Pakistan is 3rd....India is 6th ! o_O

And even our biggest detractors don't state that we support the Commies who're responsible for the bulk of your woes so I can't imagine how we'd be affecting you anymore than you affecting us !
To give you an example ...hmm the way you haunt me with your casper like pale face same way Pakistan and its nefarious activities 're haunting India too. 8-)
exactly and that is what my last thread was about ..... how "secularism" is used to shield this reality from us.
WT...H???
how did you bring in secularism here???
whats wrong with you these days???

where do I start??
India has its problems and it'll be exacerbated by a disturbed neighborhood. I told you that we were "plodding" towards progress...and that it would "water down" our govt's efforts.May be you just skimmed through my posts.

India is on no 6 .... not so far away.
Developing country my a**
look at our friends on this list
Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Nigeria and Syria
followed by INDIA
I saw that report and I am kind of confused with the report. It says on top that 5 countries account of 82% Terrorist attacks in just 5 countries so India should have less number of attacks and hence though it is on 6 it should have lot of gap between 5 and 6.

Then it further states that following countries are top of Risk which does not include India either:
— Angola
— Bangladesh
— Burundi
— Central African Republic
— Cote d’Ivoire
— Ethiopia
— Iran
— Israel
— Mali
— Mexico
— Myanmar
— Sri Lanka
— Uganda

Then why India is on number 6? Am I missing something?

EDIT: Never Mind, I got it. They are considering Maoists as well.

They are talking about per capita stats. India is on number 6 for total no. of attacks. Top risk list is considering population and other factors.

Ohh ... @levina ji .... please try to understand. did you read this thread
Secularism is now a National Security Threat
I am quoting select points
Terrorism increased by 70 per cent in India from 2012 to 2013.

The number of attacks also increased, with 55 more attacks in 2013 than 2012.

the dominant editorial and media narrative of 2013 was about the dangers for India due to the ascendancy of “fringe right wing Hindu” groups. How could all our collective media/thought leadership fail us so easily? How could the entire Dilli-based editorial class miss the elephant in the room?

Basic idea = no hindu terror groups(not fundamentalists) exist that look to subvert democracy and kill innocents . left has one (naxals), Islamists are there( SIMI etc) and ethinic groups(north east). Yet in the name of non existent "saffron terrorists" we are going bonkers ignoring the terror increase at home. Everybody is getting violent except hindus :D .

No actually I read it further. They added deaths by Maoists as well apart from other factors so it is high. Also they are considering data for past 10 years to analyze.

Read the same report in an indian context here
in the OP

When I joined this forum, I realized all Indian members were here to troll Pakistan-related topics. After reading some interesting posts by my countrymen in this thread, I came to the conclusion that its actually other way around! :D Whenever a tragic report regarding Pakistan is posted, some retarded Pakistanis start comparing the findings with archenemy India. What the heck? :D Have we really got no self-respect, self-identity left?

So? Are maoists not terrorists?
