Featured Pakistan Navy welcomes 'most advanced' warship delivered by China

It would be good to get Pakistani crews trained on Chinese Type-054A/P frigate warships now by placements.

. . . .
Ask your pilots.

He still has the nerve to open his mouth after last year’s humiliation.

Anyway, their so called Brahmos has an even better adversary in the form of the YJ12.

Pakistan’s most formidable anti ship cruise missile remains the YJ-12, which is comparable but in many ways superior to the Indian BrahMos with a speed of Mach 4

Oh I'm afraid that the CM-302 (YJ-12) will be quite operational on Pakistan's new frigates when our Indian friends arrive.

When will it be delivered to Pakistan?

Sea Trials for now?
Chinese navy's type 054A normally took about a year after launch to deliver. The one year period is for out-fitting the ship and sea trials.

Type 054A/P might take a little longer as it has some different equipment specified by Pakistan navy, so make a conservative estimate for delivery in October next year. Also during this one year period Pakistani sailors will be trained to operate efficiently before they sail the ship home.

Brahmos is using 90s Russians technology ... it is not comparable to the YJ-12 at all. You are talking about a missile that is much slower in speed (Mach 2.8 vs 4 for YJ-12), has no stealthy features, and has very predictable flight trajectories due to the decades old Russian guidance system. I read on another forum that the Chinese had no problem intercepting the Moskits back in the early 2000s so I doubt the Brahmos would pose much of a threat either tbh. As usual, another super hyped up weapon that is based on old Russian technology.

Oh yes I know my friend.

Be scared, be very scared, for what is coming with the Type 54A.

@waz @Figaro @The Eagle
I asked the same question at j-17 thread (New fighters PDF doctrine). How can we destroy incoming cruise missile (to save, mainly, our air bases, as ships have normally). As any situation of 28th Feb can rise due to aggressive/mindless Dehli erratic behaviour. Are oreliken system enough? But they need prior information (so integration is must) as their radar range is limited. Can oreliken destroy incoming artillery round? as good for practice on LOC.
