I'm just throwing out a wild guess here, but I wonder if the PN is basically in the process of buying off the design rights of the Swift Corvette like they did with the Jinnah-class frigate.

It is just a patrol ship , has no weapons
We were never stopped from Buying F16 C/D if we paid for it

It might not be that bad. You can abstract all of the subsystems -- i.e., make the engines, electronics, sensors, weapons, steel etc., non-US -- so there's no block there. It's literally the design rights/patents and expertise on customizing or configuring it. But if not, there are designers in Turkey, Ukraine, and South Africa who will sell us corvette designs no problem. However, it seems that's the direction the PN is heading.

True, but its still a weapon of war and does have weapons paying for something of the self is one thing like the vipers as you mentioned getting rights to make it at from the US at home ( Specially us ) is another issue.

I think US policy has shifted to not give us , discounts connected to cooperation in past 10 years

For fully paid transactions the items were shipped to us

Had the relations improved in last few months we will have to see proof by release of funds and goods
