Pakistan Male UAV official Specs

@JamD if he finds out a private company designs, builds and test-flies a NGFA prototype in Pakistan.

If Solunux's miniature turbojet can power a target drone, it can likely power a miniature cruise missile too. Just saying. We (collectively, but without compartmentalization and leadership issues) aren't far from making loitering munitions and other asymmetrical weapons.

Pretty much all required tech base for loitering munition exists now. All that is needed is the decision to go ahead.

But personally would like it to be mesh networked swarming type 🙂

I mentioned that concept to you that the UAE was pursuing. It could certainly be done in Pakistan, and as I said used on ships, land vehicles, aircraft and whatever else. Focus would be on saturation of them and mass production (1000s) at least.

You could even give them super large RCS and let the Indian air force, and air defense have fun with their missiles.

Guidance could be inertial+GNSS

Bingo! You sir are a genius!

Good optics, good munitions, and SATCOM and this thing will be a great UCAV.

Interesting, AESA for UAV? In theory you could install BVR missiles for engaging of enemy aircraft but the performance won't be as good as what can be achieved with fighter jets.

"AESA radar development is also under progress in order to achieve independency and life cycle support and later on integrate the Radar in the target platforms like JF-17, MALE UAV and other systems."
Turkey is doing that

. . .
Now to add the following to these drones:
  • AESA radar
  • AI computers
  • WVR/BVR missiles
  • EW/SIGINT etc. capability
  • SOM capability
  • Etc.
WVR missiles is the easiest thing here but unfortunately there just isn't enough airframe breathing room to do most of these things.

Maybe something double or triple this size could do all that but it just isn't there yet.

What is the advantage of carrying a nose radar suitable for more air-to-air mission profiles for tactical UAVs? BVR missiles? Whereever I saw that this presented as a certain and successful new leap, I ask the same question as well. If we talk about air-to-ground capabilites, there are much more weight/power-efficient payloads such as SAR and LIDAR together with CATS for tactical/ mid altidude turbodiesel engine UAVs. The AESA radar developing for AKINCI is more about a work outside the traditional concept. Obviously, we will not learn how successful this concept has developed until it is tried in an operation. When we look at related aircaraft's specs, it will be understood that the main aim is creating a system that will provide to keep max amount of ammunition at mid-to-high altidude as possible in the theater of war continuously.

Other than the Planned-CAS missions, the response time of the air force into field is a very critical situation in some cases, especially in asymmetric combat conditions. The existence of armed tactical UAVs is invaluable, because it can dramatically shorten decision-making between identification, marking and engagement in favor of units in the field. Although these UAVs have other usage areas, all others are more unique and special areas. Pakistan needs to develop its instant intelligence capacity and precision strike capabilities in all weather and day&night conditions. I advocate the same thing for Turkey's related UAV developments. But of course what I said is not very popular things.

Payload capacity: MQ-9 -> 1,700 kg , CH-4 -> 345 kg , PAC MALE UAV -> 350 kg

I personally like the shape of NESCOM Burraq /CH-3 as it can be further developed in flying wing stealth platform. Its also easier to envision internal payload bay for a UAV shaped like Burraq /CH-3 than CH-4/Predator shaped UAVs.
