Pakistan looks for SSBN and SRBM

Pak navy nuts we don't need cruise missile subs we have land based cruise missile can do this job easily and cruise missile are not a big threat to India given their air defence even few cruise missile hit India won't hurt them big so think wisely BALLISTIC MISSILE submarine can do damage which matter not only it completely inhaliate India but it's defence bases so hit where it matters problem is our defence thinkers are nuts with small minds small thinking

The cost of an SSBN compared to a Conventional SSK with a missile section is vast
If the SSK is just scaled up slightly and a section added, the core capability is there.

We could find out the difference is actual cost if someone finds out how much the per unit cost for the Australian short fin barracuda will be verses the french SSN baracuda.

This is why even countries like Australia are staying with conventional boats (the cost difference is huge and ssk technology has advanced enough to give near ssn and ssbn performance)

One Option would be leasing a Chinese Type 093G SSN Cruise missile Variant (Which could mean it has VLS tubes for Cruise missiles) and develop cruise and ballistic missiles that can fit those VLS tubes. Thereby making it a sole SSBN for the PN. It could stay far out to sea or hide somewhere near the Somali coast and be a thorn in IN planning.
Modern conventionally powered submarines can come very close to SSBN. Check out the proposed "SMX Ocean" submarine. Endurance at sea is 90 days without coming back to port and a range of 29,000km. A few of these(or similar ones) will suffice to provide a credible second strike capability with the added bonus of less operating/maintainence cost and stealth(in comparison to a nuclear powered one).
