No need for Pakistan to back such a treaty. No nation will run to your rescue when things go South. It's up to Pakistan to ensure its own survival, and in a neighbourhood full of such weapons, it would be madness to back such an initiative.

best way to secure global peace is for every country to have nuclear warheads. Thus MAD doctrine will result in no full scale war, only small scale border clashes... a happy nuclear world .. imagine gaza, yemen, libya, cuba etc all having nukes. Who would dare to attack them?

There wont be much backing by the nations that have already acquired these weapons already. That is who things are. Everyone will point finger to someone else,,,,,you first,,,, and this will go on.
rather then disarmament, the world should first get together on smaller issues which are effecting us all on daily basis. The likelihood of world going into a nuclear war are lesser then many other major threats that we all face!! First all the nations should get together on those issues.
