For the first time in history, Russia initiated joint-training exercises (despite a barrage of Indian objections), last year in Pakistan and this year in Russia. They also removed the arms embargo against Pakistan and have begun exporting arms to Pakistan, most famous of these deals were the sale of Mi-35Ms. Recently, both Pakistan and Russia have been sending delegates, mostly military, to each other.

Russia also invested $2bn in the North-South pipeline and have expressed interest in CPEC.

Not really. Why can Pakistan and India simultaneously join SCO? Although Pakistan and India have collision in many sectors however the stability of this region weight over others. Each member of SCO can get its own interest expressed and negotiated, I would say Pakistan is more engaged than ever before, far from isolated.
