That's past...now will change for positive. Pakistan was not isolated even then since military was able to establish good relations and many things happened for the first time like Pak-Russia military exercise in GBP which titillated PM Modi's vulva in ways erstwhile unknown.
However GoP missed many opportunities on purpose....which should be investigated ..however it is time to control the damage and reverse the direction. Pakistan, 7th largest country and a nuclear state is too important to be ignored or isolated.

Since we didn't have a huge ceremony like Modi, people may think we're isolated. However, Not inviting foreign dignitaries was part of PTI Government's plan. It was well in accordance with their Austerity policy. The 33 bullet-proof cars that are going up for auction saved quite a lot of taxpayer's money.

Further on the topic, SMQ is Imran Khan's next of kin and he's shaping him up for a potential future PM as SMQ's already vice-chairman of the party. Imran Khan's life is in danger and if we go down our history lane we'll find that its casual for our PM's to pass away during their political tenure without utilizing their maximum potential. SMQ's foreign office speech from yesterday had bhutto's spirit, I believe he mentioned about "Isolation" in regards to the "Kashmir" issue.

All previous governments have failed to produce a solution to the ongoing bloody crisis in Kashmir valley while blaming Pakistan Establishment for rigging Elections 2018. The international media portrayed Pakistan's vibrant democracy in a corrupt manner and the coverage worldwide was biased on both spectrums of good & bad. Well he is not wrong either. Pakistan as a state was not isolated but the govt of Pakistan under PMLn failed on the foreign affairs front purposefully as NS did not even appoint a foreign minister. However military of Pakistan kept many vistas opened and even expanded relations in new directions and played well but definitely the civilian govt failed to take advantage of many key opportunities like Kul Bashan Yadev episode etc ... so now you will see all of these cases will be exploited to their potential.
