What's new

Pakistan is acting as a Mediator in Yemen crisis for uniting Muslim World.

. .
Airforce chief recently visited UAE and Saudia Arab in the last few days and than PM Imran Khan itself so its evident that we will be involved in Yemen war so now the question is, to which extent. This is remain to be seen.

. . .
Pakistan is negotiating peace in Yemen and peace between Iran and Saudis.

I think Imran Khan has now finally undo the mistake which we did it few years back when short sighted Nawaz Sharif govt said clear no to Saudis.

@MastanKhan

Pakistan is not going to war in Yemen. Plus Pakistan is paving the road between Iran and Saudis because with only this peace we Muslims can stand the foreign aggression.

.
Pakistan negotiating peace in Yemen and Pakistan participating in Yemen war are two entirely different occurences.

As for the first, Pakistan has no leverage. Infact, I'll say it's laughable to imagine such a role.

As for the second, Pakistan can't make many blunders bigger than that. We can never be a part of killing of civilians as collateral damage. Already there is a huge controversy about Pak Army's ops in northern areas and killing of innocent civilians as a result.

Yes and hopefully. Iran must understand that US under Trump, is quickly isolating Iran and naval blockade is on the cards as well. Iran must opt out from their unnecessary wars across the region and Pakistan can atleast help them in Yemen to get a strong ceasefire.

History will judge Iran and KSA to be the leaders in holding back the Greater Middle East region. Never trust the Mullahs--never. They live in an alternate world. To them there's either victory or martyrdom in their actions; after all, this world is a mirage, right.

I don't think Pakistan has the clout. Perhaps a leader like Zulfi Bhutto would have moved the needle a bit. I wish Imran Khan best luck though.

Bhutto was a strong leader because he had a strong nation behind him. Imran Khan will be strong leader if are standing strong behind him. Pakistan has relations with both Iran and Saudis and currently Pakistan is the only country who can bring peace to Yemen.

Few people are trying to create a domestic mess but are machinery is also working in the foreign policy ground and soon there will be a break through in Yemen and we will have peace in Muslim World Inshallah

Unite? Against who? Thats the thing thay some people dont let us live peacefully. Now, lets change our declaration, every time we open our big mouth.
Let's unite against who divide us. now it makes sense?

Hi,

Illiteracy at its heights---. Have you ever read the history of muslim conquests---.

You must be anti pakistan for talking bad about the pak military actions in northern areas---. Only a traitor of pakistan would say something like that---.

IK is humanitarian but honestly we have no leverage..Both KSA and Iran are much better economically and have more say in Islamic world then Pakistan...We are in bad shape and need money ..How can we negotiate ? On one hand we request KSA to lend us money and then we offer them to mediate ?

Imran Khan's statement hurts US economy because no war in Yemen means no weapons sales and job cuts in USA. :(

You are looking at from one prospective but you must understand Yemen is not the only place Saudis need us. Money coming from Saudis is not a new thing it is an old tradition.

We will not mediate in Yemen. We are doing it. That is what the statement says. In this whole Khoshaggi event have you seen any statement from Iran?

USA is in Afghanistan and that is a bigger threat to Iran than Yemen.

I know you have always been a supporter of Pak joining Saudi in Yemen in return for favors. However, I don't view sending a mercanary army to a foreign land as a matter of national interest. Yemen war is unjustified, how can we be a part of it is beyond me.
