Pakistan in Talks With Russia on Sales of Helicopters, Air Defense - Sputnik

Su-35, Mi-28NE, S-400, Armata, Su-34 --> when combined, you get Voltron.
LOOOL that was random
But I doubt there will be any major arms deals as there are talks with the Indian Armed services which would not take any movement of arms to Pakistan lightly
I guess we are being used as leverage to get deals

.
Oh please no Su35 talk. No concrete news regarding its possible sale to Pak. Even J10 had once better chances than Su35 in Paf colors. Also just 4 Mi35 helicopters sale to Pak is such an exaggeration here.

mujse likhwalo Khwaja Asif ko nahe pata Air Defence kya hota hey.. isnay chawal mari hey ye Russian kay 1980 kay truck ko Air Defence booolta hey hahahha

Air defence seems interesting.

Who wants to bet me that we will see within 5 posts the infamous combination of letters and numbers i.e. SU-35 mentioned? :p:o_O
Well done !! Mentioned it on the 4th Post....

Su-35, Mi-28NE, S-400, Armata, Su-34 --> when combined, you get Voltron.
It seems YAK-130 or SU-24 for Pakistan Rangers along with combat helicopters for Afghan border. PAF might als obe looking towards the PAK-FA very closely because that is supposed to enter service with Russian Air Force in 2019-2020.

.
I also agree with the impression that Russians are just using Pakistan to get to Indian market.

.
There is great possibility that Russia would be willing to sell SU-35s and S-400s to Pakistan.

The key question is if Pakistan would take such an offer.

At the end of the day PAF has close relationship with US and is influenced by US.

I also agree with the impression that Russians are just using Pakistan to get to Indian market.

Which is futile as BJP is a West leaning party and they have little interest in procuring anything from Russia.

BJP is getting stronger by the day and may stay in power for another 13 years at the least if not more.

Russians are not idiots to not known about this change in direction of wind in India.

Russian offers to Pakistan are serious ones but the question is if Pakistan is ready to switch to Russia?

I would say Pakistan would continue to stick with the West.

He is talking about SU-35 not Mi-35

The key question is if Pakistan would take such an offer.

At the end of the day PAF has close relationship with US and is influenced by US.

1) If there is an offer then PAF would try to evaluate if it is the best possible purchase?
2) How would this technology give them the advantage?
3) Production capability with export potential of the equipment it is purchasing.

Relationship with USA does go very far but the issue is what USA has to offer. If we compare it to the policies of the existing President then PAF can procure what ever weapons it wants however lawmakers might enforce legal hurdles initially as well as other sanctions later. This is there right because they are the guardians of their technology.

Pakistan would definitely be given preference by any one when it is prosperous, until this can be achieved it would always face difficulties.

He knows and Russian Air Defence systems are in Pakistan for testing and as for MI-35 they will arrive soon and we are trying for SU-35 that I am pretty sure about @Salman Zahidi

No.1 Phenkoo aadmi ha khawaja asif..
Khawaja Asif who by profession is a lawyer/politician ,his knowledge of military science,technology or defence strategy related requirements ,is no more than most of the fan boys here.He ,I guess, got this defence minister's job by being a distant relative of Gen.Raheel Shareef.

Su-35, Mi-28NE, S-400, Armata, Su-34 --> when combined, you get Voltron.
Don't you need lots and lots of money to get Voltron of your description?

I have identical view about this. Most Pakistani political and military leaders have an unhealthy fascination for US military hardware. Yes they are sophisticated but the they are vulnerable to sanctions. The way some Pakistanis still view F-16, a fighter plane which is no longer ahead of modern Russian fighters like SU-30, makes people laugh.
