Pakistan husband splashed wife with acid to stop her from becoming an airhostess

We have to introduce law based on Islam and penalty will fully medical expenses along with life time settlement and also similar things to be done to the criminal and state also give additional 10 years in prison with lowest class of the jail

.
DIP her husband in ACID pool and live telecast it on national TV (or at least punish him in the gathering of his relatives, friend, neighbours and family) thats the only way to educate these Jahil's

.
there is a bollywood movie called 'Akira' wherein a similar situation occurs and it's dealt with very boldly. a little girl who was witness to the original crime of an older girl being attacked by acid learns karate, then years later at the same spot when the harassers come to her she fights it out and the acid pours out on the guy's face. felt so good to watch that scene.

.
If not acid some thing else will be used, then we should also ban knives as well.

The guy is a third rate cheap low esteemed egoistic arrogant person who cannot digest the fact that his wife can earn and run the family. These things happen when society has stereotyped views of role of female in family.

Its not about crime. But satisfying the ego. He knows that by ruining his wife's pretty face he can make her sit at home. His intention is not killing her. But to show her place in household.

. . .
This is disgusting. I wonder how come government has not been able to control such incidents. One way could be to punish the person in the same manner a healthy dose of concentrated acid on the criminal's face too and on live TV. The other thing, how is it possible for every Tom, Dick & Harry to buy acid without a special permit?
There must be some kind of regulations to control sale of such items.

Kanwal Qayyum, a Pakistani woman, is getting her life back after her husband splashed her with acid.

He did not want not want her to become an air hostess.

Her story, which has come to limelight, draws attention once again to the serious threat faced by women in South Asia from unchecked sale of acids.

Kanwal was 16 when she was married to her distant cousin. The man was not educated and did some menial jobs, before turning completely jobless and getting addicted to drugs. By then, they had 12 year old son and eight year old daughter.

Fearing for the future of her children, she got herself educated, started looking for jobs, and was lucky to get an offer from an international airlines.

It didn't go down too well with her husband. One day when she opened the door, he was there and he threw acid on her face after which all she could remember was the excruciating pain, notes Dawn.

The incident had completely shattered her face. She was left with xad no eyebrows, lashes or nose. Her own child didn't want to face her as she was scared.

A Pakistani NGO Depilex Smile again Foundation, which works with acid victims, introduced Kanwal to UK cosmetic surgeon Dr. Asim Shahmalak.

He travelled to Pakistan for two years to help the women like her. He rebuilt her eye brows and lashes by taking the hair from the back of her scalp and did her nose with the tissue taken from her thighs.

Dr Shahmalak says he wept on hearing the stories of women like her. He spent $50,000 on the treatment of Kanwal and 5 other acid attack victims, notes Metro. He also added what he does to help them is the most rewarding thing he could do.

As she got somewhat close to her old face back through surgeries, she became more confident and reunited with her family. She now plans to get married to a man who had stood by her.

She still needs a few more surgeries, which Dr Shahmalak is preparing for.

So? Drug smugglers need to lessen their burden not the addicts ----

We do have a provision in criminal law in this respect . Doable

First you talk about drug addicts then you go to smuggler. Is there anything in that brain that will tell you to stick to the subject.

Read my post again if you couldn't comprehend the underlying meaning

.
It is. In sub-continent countries. Bathroom cleaning fluids are basically nothing but acids from supermarkets. Its only early last year did Indian Supreme Court banned the sale of any acid for any thing which can harm others.

I myself have personally bought cleaning acids for cleaning bathrooms in my home. In India it is slowly getting phased out. Hope other countries follow suit.
I have bought them too.. but i doubt they can do much harm...
