Pakistan hints at suspending trade ties with India : Pak Media

The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) on Thursday said it would consider suspending trade with India if the situation did not improve soon.

FPCCI president Abdul Rauf Alam said that Pakistan had no compulsions of any sort to continue business and trade relations with India under the current hostile conditions. The entire Pakistani business community, he said, was united to take any decision and given the tense situation in the region, it was not possible to continue trade relations with India.

He pointed out the role of the Saarc Chamber of Commerce and Industry and said that it left them with no choice but to promote trade relations with ECO and D-8 countries.

The Kalabagh dam and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) were also facing controversies and losing such opportunities could be damaging for the country, said Mr Alam, adding that the CPEC was a game-changer, but there was little awareness among the business community about the project. He advised the community to work in unison and avoid politics of accusations in order to improve the image of the apex body of trade and industry (FPCCI).

Mr Alam was of the opinion that without making payments of outstanding sales tax refunds to exporters, the country would not progress and falling exports would also not improve.

Most of the India & pak members may not agree with me,but this is high time we and pak should sit together and resolve the situations to pre uri attack level,and i do believes that we have acheiced our vengences in that incident.
Present situations are affecting more in people along loc. I think none of the we PDF members (exceptions may be there) will not understand the heat. Its just my opinion....

So once we have no business, not cultural connection then next time around we wont hear the same old news.

What my point is we have to resolve it as early as possible either by military means or by talk,thus type of hide and seek is affecting the people around loc. That too in few thousands.
Can you imagine the schools of ur kids are under shut in conditions for more than four month,this the situation in loc are bound schools now.

however the issue is that there is no solution....neither militarily nor by talks...had there been one...it would have been implemented by now...You need to understand...

We have upper hand in the current status quo..which obviously is unacceptable to Pakistan...Pakistan has no leverage on India which will force us to settle the disputed on favorable terms to them and thus they have no choice but to pursue the terror bogey...India has no leverage on Pakistan to force them to back off but raise cost for them in whatever means possible...both don't have appetite for war and with nukes on both sides military option is literally down the gutter...so logjam of epic proportion...
